  • Structured exercise provides a wide range of important health benefits and can be used to target specific fitness fittings, including mobility, stability, power and aerobic capacity.
  • It is the combination of the two structured and non -structured activity – that offers the best benefit.

Avery D. Faigenbaum, EDD, is a complete professor in the Department of Many Health and Health Sciences at New Jersey College. His research interests focus on pediatric exercise, resistance training and long -term athletic development. She has co-author numerous scientific articles, dozens of book chapters and 10 books, including the basic elements of youth gymnastics. He is a member of the American College of Athletic Medicine, the National Academy of Kinesiology and the National Union of Power and Restriction. Dr. Faigenbaum was awarded the Boyd Epeley Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Association of Power and Restriction for his continued contribution to improving the health, physical condition and performance of children and adolescents through innovative practices and scientific discoveries.

Earlier this year, in an article entitled From Hierarchy to Harmony: Transfiguration of Pyramid activity on my physical activity plateAvery D. FaigenbaumPhd, Facsm, member of ACEand his colleagues were introduced an evidence–Based but user -friendly tool for the afternoon to more easily understand the benefits of various types of natural activity.

The transition from the pyramid to plate reflects the updates made to the diet, from the Food Driver Pyramid to the Muscle graphic used in recent versions of Dietary guidelines for Americans.
