I’m sharing some of my favorite online workouts and how you can try them for free.

Hello friends! I hope you had a beautiful morning. The kids are back to school and I’m back to the routine here. I have 1:1 coaching calls, a podcast interview, and trying to get the house back together after our trip.

For today’s post, I wanted to share some of my favorite online training options. I know many of you are trying new things in 2024 and these might be fun options to add to the rotation.

These fitness apps provide unique workout experiences with a focus on accessibility and efficiency. Choose the one that aligns with your fitness goals, preferences and experience level. As always, consult a fitness professional or health care provider before starting a new exercise program.

8 workouts I love that you can try for free

Sculpt Society

Sculpture Society, founded by Megan Rupp, combines dance-inspired cardio with sculpting exercises to create a dynamic and effective workout to tone muscles and enhance cardiovascular fitness. I LOVE the instructors at Sculpt Society. They all have genuine (not fake) energy and are not over the top. They have good form and I like all the routines. It’s one of my favorite ways to shake my legs out in the middle of a work day, and it always gets me excited.

Who can benefit: Perfect for people who enjoy dance-inspired workouts and want to focus on toning and sculpting their body.

Advantages:

Fun and energetic dance routines. Targeted sculpting exercises for muscle tone. Suitable for various fitness levels.

Disadvantages:

May not be suitable for those looking for low intensity workouts. Dance workouts are higher impact (you can always modify them) and strength workouts are heavier/pilates and low impact.

Cost: Membership starts at $19.99 per month.

Equipment Required: Minimal equipment, often using resistance bands and light weights, with gliders and optional ankle weights

You can try one month free of the app using my referral link here. My full Sculpt Society review is here.

Pvolve

P.volve is a fitness platform that offers low-impact, functional movements designed to strengthen, sculpt and improve overall flexibility. The workouts are characterized by controlled, precise movements that target specific muscle groups. The moves are very unique and I find them challenging without being draining.

Who can benefit: Ideal for people looking for a sculpted physique without high impact exercises. It is suitable for various fitness levels, including beginners.

Advantages:

Low-impact workouts are joint-friendly. Emphasis on functional movements. Various routines to engage the entire body.

Disadvantages:

May not be suitable for those looking for intense cardio workouts.

Cost: Subscription-based, with monthly plans starting at around $19.99. Try the courses free here for 7 days.

Equipment Required: Minimal equipment, often using resistance bands, P.balls and hand weights.

Fit Team

Shameless self, but I LOVE ours Fit Team workouts and platform. Fit Team provides dynamic and effective workout routines for people of all fitness levels. The workouts include a combination of strength training, HIIT and flexibility exercises. They are fast and sweaty!! You can get a free 7-day trial here.

Who can benefit:

Ideal for those who enjoy a variety of workouts and are looking for a balance of strength, cardio and flexibility training.

Advantages:

Various training options. Specialized programs. Supportive fitness community.

Disadvantages:

It may not be as specialized for specific fitness goals (eg bodybuilding).

Cost: By subscription, with 6 months Fit Team available here. You can try a one month subscription here.

Equipment Required: Dumbbell based workouts

Les Mills+

Les Mills+ offers a wide range of virtual workouts inspired by group fitness classes. From high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to dance, the platform caters to various fitness preferences. These workouts are very strategically designed and engaging. The movements match the music and I feel like I’m always motivated to work hard.

Who can benefit: Great for those who love the experience of a group fitness class. Suitable for various fitness levels.

Advantages:

Great variety of classes. Scientifically designed workouts. Content updated regularly.

Disadvantages:

Some classes may require specific ones Les Mills equipment.

Cost: Membership starts at $14.99 per month.

Equipment Required: It varies by class, but may include weights, resistance bands, or a step.

They got rid of their affiliate program so I no longer have a custom link, but you can try the workouts for free here. I also have a lot of reviews here on the blog!

Peloton

Peloton is renowned for its immersive cycling experience, offering live and on-demand cycling lessons. In addition to cycling, the platform provides a variety of other workouts, including running, strength training, yoga and meditation.

Who can benefit: Ideal for cycling enthusiasts and those who enjoy a variety of workouts. Suitable for various fitness levels.

Advantages:

Extensive library of various training types. High energy live classes. Engaging community and leaderboard.

Disadvantages:

Higher cost compared to some other platforms. Requires Peloton gear for the best experience.

Cost: Membership starts at $12.99 per month. Additional cost for Peloton gear. Also, I feel like strength classes are hit or miss.

Equipment Required: Peloton bike or treadmill for cycling/running classes. Optional accessories include weights and resistance bands. You can also use the app without the equipment.
