If God does not heal you, does that mean you don’t have enough faith?

I have hosted a podcast called Health Matters where I have interviewed top health experts. Kimberly Rae is a writer of Amazon Bestselling living with Addison’s illness, talks about health from the “other side” in her patients and tired rows, including Laughs for the sick and tired and Why does God not correct it?

Her ideas for life with illness will encourage those who have a chronic situation and help those who are better healthy. Learn more at www.kimberlyrae.com.

How is life different for a year of unhealthy person from someone who is healthy?

“It is interesting to me that for many of us, it does not show. They say that one in two people – at least in the country I am in – have some kind of chronic situation, but for a vast majority of them.

“We look like we are healthy, but our lives are completely different because of the illness.

“When you go somewhere, you have to bring all these tools to make sure you are well prepared for food and diapers and what will happen and what will happen if the baby starts crying, you can’t say,” I take a break now I will arrive later. “

“Our timetables are fully determined by this, our activities and our choices. We have to say a lot when we want to say yes. We have to stay home when we want to go to places. We have to admit that we need things when we don’t want to.

“It’s not something we choose or what we want – we will get rid of it if we could – but it is something that God is chosen for us and so we must learn to live with him.

As a Christian some people say, “Well, you don’t have enough faith. That’s why you don’t get healed.” What would you say about it?

“That’s what they told me. This is the most difficult time when you have to fight with not getting a defense.

“To be honest, he sent me straight to the Scriptures, something that is never bad, why did I want to know is what God thinks? For God does not correct it I had written all these chapters about things I learned and encouraged, but when I finished the book (or thought I was done) I realized that there were some lyrics in the Bible – those used by people – I didn’t touch because I didn’t know what to do with them.

“When you are sick you ask the Lord and God not to say no.

“And so the back of the book is a whole study through the book of Matthew where I went through every verse where someone was healed and studied what it meant, what it was for what he said.

“I discovered that Jesus was healed for a variety of reasons and did it in all the different ways, but there was never one time he said that someone could not be healed because they didn’t have enough faith. Sometimes it was a friend’s faith.

“Sometimes it was the Father’s faith, the only time he said that he was not healed because you didn’t have enough faith was when the students did not have enough faith not themselves and he often cures people who were unconscious or even dead, so they could not have enough faith to heal.

“Thus, the measure of faith is not the parameters in the scriptures. What I discovered was that in the end people who say that your life is supposed to be easy, supposed to be comfortable if you have enough faith to say that everything will be well, they do not really follow the Scriptures.

“The Scriptures say we are going to have tests. We will suffer. We have to withstand our burdens and if it means that you live in sin when things go roughly than all disciples and John the Baptist and especially Jesus will fit in this category.

“I have learned to go to God instead of saying,” Heals me, heals me, heals me “that I would love if he did it and I know he could do every second if he wanted to go with the prayer that Jesus prayed, Jesus, and even myself. you. “

“I know that if I love God enough instead of saying,” heal me to show everyone that I have enough faith “or” heals me because I am tired of it “or” heals me so that I can serve you better “, but I must say,” Your will is more important than my own “.

“I am looking forward to healing all eternity. If he wants to be sick here because for some reason I can honor him better than if I love him, I will choose it.

“I would prefer to glorify my weaknesses and rest the power of God, and that is one thing that taught me to leave missions, I realized that I found my identity in my service for God and for me, who gave me Jesus.

“I wanted to be all capable of doing all these things and impressive and feel important because I did something important, but instead I am happy to learn to have my meaning in him and that is not bad.

“In the end, the Bible says it is good that I have caused to learn your statute, I learn more about him because I have to continue to look for him through this disease than I would have if I was capable and healthy and I could do all the things I wanted to do.”

How can we pray for those we love who live with illness?

“Oh, God bless those who pray for those who live with chronic illness. It is interesting to me – what good to ask – because you will always pray that they are improving.

“But I would say that if you know someone with chronic illness, the most important things to pray would be even more for their mental and emotional health even more than their physical health. Because when this is forever and you think that God please treat me, but I am sure it is not.

“But the emotional pressure that comes with it. You have to explain to people why you can’t come and say,” This is an exception.

“The emotional executive of the attempt to be constantly suitable when people want to be better.

“And then the spiritual battles, you know when you are at night and you don’t have enough sleep and the devil comes to you with all these thoughts, I would say that it is the most difficult part of chronic illness, in the way that affects your mind and heart even more than your body.

“So we need prayer for endurance and power and that we will accept that his grace is sufficient.”
