Sharing a Copycat recipe for one of my favorite restaurant salads of all time: Tuscan Kale Sald from True Food Kitchen.

Hi friends! What are you doing? I hope you have a wonderful morning so far. Today, I go to the F45 and the chiropractor (bless it) and then we meet friends for pizza and bowling.

For today’s post, I wanted to share one of my favorite simple salad recipes of all time.

If you have ever dined into true food cuisine, you know the magic that happens when fresh, seasonal ingredients are combined with deliberate flavors and an approach that focuses on well -being. It is one of my favorite spots for a casual meal, especially because their menu is full of gluten -free, vegetarian and vegan options that are tasty and nutritious. They prioritize nutrients produced by organic growers and is often a point for us. 😉 One of the first dishes I ever ordered there was the true kitchen kitchen salad and since then.

This is not your average sad salad. The true Tuscan Kale salad is salty, bright, perfect texture and full of flavor. It hits all the right notes: Bright lemon, sharp garlic, warm pepper flakes, and this walnut, umami hit by Grana Padano or Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. It is worth and simple enough to recreate home. Today, I wanted to share a version of the True Food Tuscan Kale Salad Recipe that you can easily plague in your own cuisine.

Let’s talk about what makes this salad so special. While many salads are covered are based on heavy sauces or tones of garnish to make leafy green pleasantly, this gets a minimalist approach that is all about balance and technique. The secret? Allowing the salad to sit at room temperature after massage in oil and dress it with oil, lemon juice, garlic and spices. This softens the corn and deepen the taste. Add the grated cheese and bread crumbs just before service for this perfect crunch and salty bite.

Whether you are an experienced corn lover or you are still calculating how to make the tasteful taste of good, this recipe is an overall game change player.

What is true food kitchen

True Food Kitchen is a chain of health -based restaurants founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, a pioneer in integrated medicine. The first place in Phoenix, Arizona (Yay Az!), And since then they have expanded to the US, their philosophy has its roots in the anti -inflammatory food pyramid, with whole, nutritional dense foods that support overall well -being. Each item in their menu is made from scratch using high quality, seasonal ingredients.

Is the true food kitchen healthy

Absolutely. True Food Kitchen designs their menu around healthy ingredients from sustainable and biological farms whenever possible. Their meals are rich in vegetables, lean proteins, healthy fats and whole grains. The balance of macronutrients, living products and minimal processed ingredients makes their meals feed and activate.

If you are ever on my throat out of the forest, here are some of my favorite healthy places to eat at Tucson. (I have to update it since we finally got a flower child!)

How to make Tuscan salad

The reconstruction of Tuscan Kale’s true salad at home is easier than you think. The key is to use fresh ingredients and take some simple preparation steps to lift the taste and texture.

Ingredients

2 bunches of Kale Tuscany (also known as Lacinato Kale), De-Stemmed and finely chopped

3 lemons, freshly cut

1/2 cup excellent virgin olive oil (This is my favorite all the time;

2 cloves of garlic, grated in olive oil

Salt, pepper and red pepper flakes (adapt to taste)

1/2 cup thin grated grana padano or parmigiano reggiano cheese

1/2 cup toasted whole grain bread crumbs (or gluten -free bread crumbs)

Salt and red pepper to taste

Instructions

In a bowl of salad, whisk together the lemon juice, a cup of extra virgin olive oil and garlic salt and red pepper flakes.

Add the chopped corn to the bowl and toss well until evenly coated. Massage the corn gently for 2-3 minutes to help break the fibers.

Allow the salad to sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to combine and soften the green.

Just before service, add the grated cheese and bread crumbs and fly to combine.

Try and adjust the salt and red pepper if needed. Garnish with cheese cheesecakes before serving.

If you like this, you may also enjoy my Italian salad or this position on how to make the tasteful taste of good.

This true Tuscan Kale salad recipe is lightweight, tasty and easy to prepare in advance. Either serve it as side or add some protein to convert it to a full meal, I think it will looooooOOOVE.

So tell me friend: Have you been to real food? What is your favorite menu item? I always get the Tulsi tea (so good) and will usually take the Tuscan salad with salmon. Simple and delicious. I always love their seasonal chopped salad.
