While paying huge bills for everything, it would be better to try to save both energy and money for everyone. That is why some have replaced old -fashioned lamps with environmentally friendly energy saving.

Many people believe that these bulbs are the best, however, some experts claim to be bad news. These bulbs made the US environmental protection service end up in an emergency protocol on the use of energy saving bulbs. This protocol focuses on cases of breakage because the bulbs release toxic gas.

So if you break one of these bulbs in, the lamp will release 20 times the maximum permitted concentration of mercury in the air. This was even confirmed by a team of researchers at the Fraunhofer Wilhelm Klauditz Institute who did a study on the needs of Germany’s federal environment.

These bulbs can cause:

  • Mischief
  • Fatigue
  • Seizures
  • Migraines
  • Headache
  • Dizziness

Due to the fact that these bulbs can cause migraine, cancer, stress, you should definitely go to the old lamps.

This is a very harmful and dangerous neurotoxin that can have a very harmful effect on children and pregnant women. Mercury will affect the brain, nervous system, liver and kidneys. It will also have a tremendous effect on the cardiovascular, immune and reproductive system. If you are very exposed to it, it can cause insomnia, anxiety, horror, memory loss, headaches, Alzheimer’s disease and cancer.

There has been a study that has shown that these bulbs have the following carcinogens:

Phenol, which is a mild toxic white crystalline solid obtained from carbon tar. Phenol is mainly used in chemical construction.

Another is naphthalene, which is a volatile white crystalline compound taken through the distillation of the carbon tar. It is used more in Mothballs. Producers also used it as a raw material in chemical construction.

The latter is Styrene, which is an insatiable liquid hydrocarbon. It is a by -product of oil.

These lamps also emit UV-B and UV-C radiation traces. UV rays are very harmful to the skin and can cause cancer. They are also harmful to the vision. UV radiation will attack the immune system and damage the skin so much that it will prevent the production of vitamin D3.

It is obvious that the cheap price is not important because these lights are a very serious risk to our health.

The worst thing that can happen in a house is to break one of them. If this happens, you should follow a detailed protocol that includes mercury details and other carcinogens, according to the environmental protection service.

Follow this protocol so you can effectively deal with poisoning gas.

  • Everyone has to leave the room.
  • Then you need to open a window or door so that some fresh air can get in.
  • Turn off the central heating/air conditioning system.

Clean the pieces with these items:

  • Sticky tape
  • Rigid paper/cardboard
  • Wet towels napkins/disposable wet wipes (use only for hard surfaces)
  • A glass jar with a plastic bag/sealing plastic bag

You should never empty! You only have to gap if there are glass pieces after cleaning. The vacuum will only spread the dust or vapor of mercury only more.

What you can do instead is to use the rigid paper to remove glass pieces. The sticky movie will help you get the smaller pieces and dust. Toss the used tape into the jar or bag. Then check the detailed cleaning plan to see if you need to do anything else with surfaces, carpets or carpets. Finally, pour the rubbish cleaning into a sealed container.

You must reject the waste outside in a trash can or in a protected area until the waste is rejected. Do not leave the pieces of bulbs in. Ask your government to give you some details about how to reject it in your city. Keep in mind that some locations want to be available for fluorescent lamps in a recycling center, regardless of whether they are broken or not. If there are no parts like this, you should throw the waste into the trash of households.

Finally, leave the window open and the preparation or heating system away for a few more hours to be sure.

As you can see, these lamps are not very good. Therefore, if you use them, you now know how to clean them in the event of an emergency. However, our advice would be not to use them at all. Just go with the old -fashioned.
