Inside the trailer makeup: a conversation with Rebecca Hickey

Tell us how you started as a professional makeup artist

I am obsessed with all things beauty since I took pages from Seventeen Magazine as a child. I didn’t know that I was an artist makeup was a real profession until after college when I moved to New York. I was working a job in a pharmaceutical company and I knew that I had to find my creativity again. My parents encouraged me to try the makeup school – and two months later, I was on my way to watching the designory makeup. Fast forward 20 years, and now I am running the makeup section for various TV shows.

How did Eminence Organics played a role in your makeup are looking for White Lotus?

We are big fans of Organics Eminence in White lotus. I think the brand is perfectly aligned with the philosophy of our beauty. For me, it’s all about the beautiful, fresh and shiny skin. Organically“The products deliver real results and you can really smell the substance so you know that you are taking the true form of ingredients.

What is your favorite makeup and skin care from the show?

I liked it a lot Meghann Fahy’s Makeup last season with colored eyes and creamy cheeks. I got this one step more this year with Leslie Bibb’s Character, and I like the Vibe of the 1960s I created Aimee Lou Wood For the scenes of dinner this season.

Which Eminence Organic Products Products are Your Favorite Favorites?

Anything! Stone crop cleaning oil and stone -hydrated fog are heroes. The citrus lips balsam works perfectly under the lipstick and the strawberry rhubarb Dermafoliant exfoliates the skin so that it is prepared and ready for makeup. I also love the powerful serum Citrus & Kale, the eight grass serum and facial recovery oil to give this white Lotus glow! Another – Yuzu’s solid body is perfection.

What are your on -the -spot tips and tricks?

I like to play face recovery oil over noon hydration and keep the skin shiny. Refreshing of lime or moisturizing fog is great to reactivate and refresh the makeup while contacting throughout the day.

How is skin care different during fluid tape and sunny climates?

A lot of exfoliation and a lot of hydration! It is interesting how your skin can really dry in wet climates. I think it’s a time when our skin needs a little extra TLC. I love we can use Eminence Organics products under and again makeup to keep the skin happy and shiny!

How do you work with hair and suits to create a coherent character look?

I like to see the photos suitable and in what direction our designer suit, Alex BovairdIt enters for every character. This gets the flowers that flow, and then there are many moods and meetings with the hair team to make sure we create a coherent look! I always want everyone to feel proportional in some sense, so attention to details such as nail colors is important to achieve this.
