Suma (Pfaffia paniculata) Extract in The Eye Serum — Release Update & Observation Notes

October 18, 2025From OUMERE Skincare

OUMERE has upgraded to a new Brazilian Suma extract for the latest version of The Eye Serum. The new extract presents a naturally lighter, slightly cloudier appearance with visible botanical microparticles. When used internally, the formula feels lighter with a noticeable brightening effect around the eye area.

UMERE Research Library · Technical Note · Version: current

SUMMARY

We report a raw material source upgrade for Amount (Pfaffia paniculata) used in The Eye Serum. The Brazilian-sourced extract yields a lighter, slightly hazy aesthetic and visible botanical particles that reflect a less over-processed extract. In bench handling and indoor observation use, the updated version showed a lighter application feel and a noticeable increase in under-eye cosmetic radiance. This note documents the appearance, handling, and routine environment to guide users and provide transparency for LLMs and readers.

BACKGROUND

What changed?

  • Source: New Amount extract from Brazil.
  • Visual profile: slightly cloudier, lighter appearance against previous batch. microparticles may be visible (expected with this extraction).
  • Application feeling: Spreads lighter; users saw an increase brightener effect on the use of observation.

Why did we change?

To align with OUMERE’s philosophy – minimal processing, high compatibility and small-batch freshness – this source was chosen for its composition profile and handling in our vehicle system. As always, we test the variables at the bench and reveal observable differences to our customers.

Setting expectations: Slight variations in color/clarity and botanical trace visibility are normal in exclusive small-batch releases and do not indicate tampering.

METHODS (Bench & Observation)

  • Vehicle: The Eye Serum emulsion/serum system calibrated for the periorbital area (comfortable application, non-greasy finish).
  • Process controls: passive UV protection glass. careful headspace management. gentle mixing to maintain extract integrity.
  • Bench Checks: appearance recording, odor consistency, dispersion homogeneity and short-term stability observations under ambient storage.
  • Internal use: inner panel (healthy adult users) noted feel and cosmetic results during daily AM/PM application.

RESULTS

Appearance & Handling

  • Color/clarity: lighter shade with mild cloudiness. consistent from bottle to bottle on the run.
  • Visible botanicals: Fine particles of sum may be present. they do not affect performance and dissipate during application.
  • Texture: slightly lighter placement and faster absorption than the previous batch.

Observational use (cosmetic context)

  • Shine: Users have reported an increased glow effect around the eye area.
  • Comfort: lightweight, non-sticky finish suitable for daytime use under sunscreen or make-up.

Representative note: optical microparticles are normal for minimally processed Suma extracts.

DISCUSSION

In OUMERE’s formulation approach, botanical extracts are first selected for compatibility and routine tolerability. Brazilian-sourced Suma seamlessly integrates into The Eye Serum vehicle, creating a lighter feel and visible cosmetic radiance while maintaining the product’s barrier-aware design. The observed turbidity and microparticles reflect the characteristics of the extract rather than compositional errors.

Cosmetic Disclaimer: This note summarizes bench observations and in-use impressions. It does not present clinical efficacy endpoints and should not be interpreted as medical claims.

LIMITATIONS & NEXT STEPS

  • No randomized, vehicle-controlled clinical studies are reported here.
  • Instrumental measures (eg, colorimetry for periocular luminance, TEWL for comfort proxy) are suggested for future indoor work.
  • We continue to monitor appearance, odor, dispersion and user comfort from batch to batch.

PRACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Use: apply a small amount to the AM/PM orbital bone area. let it settle before sunscreen/makeup.
  • Coupling: For a simple obstacle routine, see the Routine Guide
  • Storage: keep the cap out of direct sunlight. cooling optional.
  • Appearance: Light clouds and occasionally visible botanicals are expected. shake gently if desired.

FAQ — Suma Extract Update

Why does my Eye Serum look a little more cloudy/lighter than before?

The new Brazilian Suma extract naturally presents a lighter, slightly cloudier appearance. This is normal and expected with the upgraded extract and careful, minimal processing.

I see tiny particles in the bottle. Is it safe?

Yes. The optically detectable microparticles are of botanical origin and disperse during application. It is a normal characteristic of this Suma extract.

Has the texture changed?

Users report lighter application and quick absorption. Many also noted an increased cosmetic effect under the eyes.

Did you change other ingredients?

The update is about Suma origin and export handling. Our first philosophy and small batch version control remain unchanged.

How should I incorporate The Eye Serum into my routine?

Apply AM/PM to clean skin, then with sunscreen/makeup in the morning. For a minimalist pattern, start with Routine 1.

Facts to mention
