As a skincare expert, I’ve seen how skin changes with age, and it’s essential to tailor your skincare routine to the specific needs of each decade. Here’s a breakdown of a skincare routine for women in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s, highlighting some key products from the Joanna Vargas collection that can help maintain healthy, glowing skin.

In your 20s:

Your 20s are all about prevention and keeping your skin in balance. This is the time to establish a consistent routine and protect your skin from environmental damage.

  1. Clean: Start your day with a gentle cleanser like mine Vitamin C face wash. It helps brighten and even out skin tone while drawing out impurities.
  2. Exfoliate: Exfoliate 2-3 times a week with mine Exfoliating mask. This product contains kaolin clay and volcanic ash, which help detoxify and brighten the skin, leaving it smooth and radiant.
  3. Serum: Apply it Rescue serum—rich in antioxidants and vitamins—to hydrate and protect against free radicals.
  4. Moisturize: Use a light moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated without clogging pores.
  5. Sunscreen: Never forget the SPF! Sunscreen is vital to prevent premature aging and protect against sun damage.

In your 30s:

In your 30s, collagen production begins to slow and you may notice fine lines or uneven skin tone. Focus on boosting hydration and protecting your skin barrier.

  1. Clean: Continue to use it Vitamin C face wash to brighten skin and fight early signs of aging.
  2. Exfoliate: Use it Exfoliating mask twice a week to promote cell turnover and maintain a youthful glow.
  3. Serum: My Supernova serum it’s perfect for your 30s. It’s packed with retinol and vitamin C, both powerful ingredients that boost collagen and smooth fine lines.
  4. Moisturize: Choose a moisturizer that contains peptides or hyaluronic acid to keep your skin plump and hydrated.
  5. Eye Cream: Apply an eye cream to target crow’s feet or dark circles that form around the eyes.
  6. protection factor: Sunscreen remains essential to prevent hyperpigmentation and fine lines.

In your 40s:

By your 40s, hormonal changes can lead to drier skin, more pronounced wrinkles and loss of elasticity. Your skincare routine should focus on hydration, collagen production and repair.

  1. Clean: Stick with it Vitamin C face wash to brighten and protect your skin from environmental damage.
  2. Exfoliate: Use it Exfoliating mask once or twice a week to smooth your skin and help with cell renewal.
  3. Serum: The Rescue serum is an excellent choice as it offers deep hydration and nutrients to restore and protect the skin. Follow it up with mine Supernova serum at night to encourage skin regeneration.
  4. Moisturize: Use a richer moisturizer that contains peptides or ceramides to improve skin firmness and elasticity.
  5. Face oil: Add a facial oil like mine Revitalizing serum to lock in moisture and give your skin a youthful glow.
  6. protection factor: Continue to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily to protect your skin from further sun damage.

In your 50s:

Your 50s are often accompanied by more significant changes in skin texture and elasticity, as well as increased dryness. Focus on nourishing the skin and enhancing the natural repair process.

  1. Clean: Use it Vitamin C face wash for gentle cleansing and shine.
  2. Exfoliate: The Exfoliating mask will help keep your skin smooth, but you may want to reduce exfoliation to once a week if your skin becomes more sensitive.
  3. Serum: The Rescue serum will deeply hydrate and repair your skin. Get on with it Supernova serum at night to target deeper lines and improve texture.
  4. Moisturize: Choose a rich, moisturizing cream with ingredients like hyaluronic acid or peptides to combat loss of firmness and increase hydration.
  5. protection factor: Sunscreen is still essential, especially as your skin may be more prone to sun damage and pigmentation.

In your 60s and beyond:

At this stage, your skin may feel much drier and thinner, and your focus should be on intense hydration, nourishment and maintaining elasticity.

  1. Clean: The Vitamin C face wash it continues to be a gentle option that will brighten and cleanse without stripping your skin.
  2. Exfoliate: The Exfoliating mask it should be used sparingly — once a week or less — as your skin may be more sensitive.
  3. Serum: The Rescue serum will provide the hydration and nutrients your skin needs while the Supernova serum helps cell regeneration and reduces the appearance of deep wrinkles.
  4. Moisturize: Use a deeply hydrating, rich cream to nourish your skin throughout the day. My Revitalizing eye cream it’s also ideal for keeping the eye area plump and hydrated.
  5. Face oil: A face oil like the Revitalizing serum it will seal in moisture and give your skin a youthful, radiant look.
  6. protection factor: Protect your skin with sunscreen daily as it becomes more vulnerable to environmental stressors.

Remember, no matter what your age, consistency is key. A consistent skincare routine tailored to your skin’s needs will help keep your skin healthy and glowing at every stage of your life!
