To MagicThey are dedicated to providing gymnastics that are accessible to all exercise levels. Experts in pregnancy and postnatal gymnastics teach award -winning, physiotherapist pregnancy and postnatal gymnastics both online and studios throughout London. Their mission is to provide safe, effective and enjoyable exercise programs tailored to meet the unique needs of every mom and mom-with the aim of creating a positive attitude towards exercise, supporting their mom through their pregnancy and postnatal gymnasiums. Ilana Marismari became Magic Director in 2024 and is passionate about empowering women, celebrating their power and providing them with the tools and knowledge that thrives during pregnancy, postnatal and beyond. Here he talks to the natural parent magazine for the inspiration back MagicTheir biggest discovery, the challenges that have overcome and their hopes and dreams for the future.

Passion: What inspired you to adjust your business?

Hello! I am Ilana, director of Magic. Let me tell you a little bit about my company!

The inspiration for Magic It came from the recognition of an important gap in the global way of gymnastics that really understood and supported the unique journey of pregnancy and the postnatal period. It is a transformation, full of joy, prediction and, often, uncertainty. Magic It creates a place where women feel inspired, supported and celebrated as they browse these moments that change life.

For babies, parent gymnastics enhances the function of the placenta, improving the supply of oxygen and nutrients. Research at Newspaper of development of health and diseases He suggests that babies of active mothers often have healthier birth weights and better cardiovascular effects.

Postnatal, exercise is vital. Strengthens the core and pelvic floor, helps in mental health by reducing stress and stress and supporting long -term recovery (International Magazine of Gynecology and Obstetrics).

The research steadily emphasizes the benefits of staying during pregnancy. The guidelines for the physical activity of the UK medical officers, the Pelice, Obstetrics and Gynecological Physiological Physiotherapy Team (POGP) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) support all 150 minutes. These guidelines note its ability to improve cardiovascular health, support healthy weight gain and reduce the risk of gestational diabetes and preeclampsia. It is important that it also prepares the body for work and delivery by reinforcing the muscles needed to support the growing baby.

Magic He was born to provide women guidance of experts through these stages, ensuring that they feel strong, supported and authorized in a safe, documented environment.

In short, Magic It was inspired by the desire to create more than a fitness program-it is a movement to strengthen women, to celebrate their power and to offer them the tools and knowledge that thrives during pregnancy, postnatal, and beyond.

The launch: How did you start at first?

When Magic Started in 2006, the concept of specialized pregnancy and postnatal fitness was still young. Founder Sarah Lorentzen, a passionate physiotherapist in pelvic health, recognized a clear need for safe fitness programs based on evidence tailored to the unique challenges of pregnancy and postnatal recovery. At that time, there were few options available, and many women remained uncertain about how to exercise safely during these transformative periods.

Sarah started offering small, local classes across Surrey, England, designed specifically for moms and young mothers. Its aim was to combine the latest physiotherapy research with practices, pleasant exercises that focused on core stability, pelvic floor health and overall strength. These classes quickly gained their reputation for approaching their experts and the word spread among women looking for a reliable, supportive environment.

The beauty of Magic It is that it has always been driven by women who really understand our customers’ travels. Every director, Sarah, Helen and myself- everyone started as Magic Trainers. Teaching these classes not only links us to Mamps Matfit, but also gives us firsthand their needs, challenges and triumphs. This deep connection ensures that our programs remain personal, effective and based on real experiences.

From those early days, we have evolved into a booming community that now offers both online and studio lessons across London. What stands out from other providers is our steadfast commitment to security, expertise and care. Unlike many pregnancy and postnatal fitness classes, our own are designed and guided by physiotherapists specializing in pregnancy and postnatal health. This means that our customers can trust that each exercise is based on the latest research and adapted to safely support them, whether they are experienced gym lovers or full beginners.

Looking back, it is incredible to see how far we have come from these first classes. But our mission remains the same: to strengthen, to support and to celebrate every woman through the traveling journey. Starting as a small group with a big vision, we have remained true to our roots while embracing growth and this is something that we are incredibly proud.

Innovation: What was the biggest discovery for you with your business?

One of our greatest discoveries disputes the outdated belief that pregnant and postnatal women should avoid physical activity, stick to rest and extending light. While they are well -meaning, this advice has kept women behind experiencing the deep benefits of safe, guided exercise.

To MagicWe strengthen women with fitness programs led by physiotherapist and information based on evidence designed specifically for pregnancy and postnatal period. By educating our community on the importance of body strengthening-not only for childbirth, but for long-term health-we have seen a significant shift in mentality. This was a transformative for us and the women we support.

A special moment for us was named the best supplier of category before birth in London in 2021 and 2024. Competiting as a small, independent business against large franchised providers, these awards validate our hard work, passion and dedication. Underline personalized care and expertise they make Magic unique.

Our classes give priority to the health of the pelvic floor, the stability of the core and the overall power, strengthening women to feel confident and strong. The main points of our classes can be displayed in social media accounts – check them for yourself! These awards have expanded our range, enhancing our mission to promote the safe, effective ability and create a healthier future for women and their families-a Mamma Matfit every time.

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

Balancing work, family life and operation Magic Along with the role of full -time physiotherapy it is provocative but rewarding. The key remains organized and setting boundaries. I rely on careful planning to prioritize the tasks and to ensure that time is available for both work and family.

The delegation was vital. I am quite lucky to have a fantastic network of incredibly talented and specialized people. My husband Chris and my parents, Kathie and Fario, were always my biggest supporters. Without their faith in my abilities, I might not even get Matfit when it was offered to me. I have recruited help from friends and family for tasks such as funding, social media and website design, allowing me to focus on what I do with the best support of Mampas Matfit. With the confidence of others, I have saved valuable time for my loved ones and my personal commitments.

I also try to be fully present in what I do, whether I teach a class, business management, or by spending quality time with the family. While not always easy, my passion for strengthening women Magic It reminds me why I started. Knowing that I make a difference, it helps me to balance these worlds and keep everything in perspective.
