There’s a point in most skincare routines where things get…comfortable. Your cleaner behaves. Your moisturizer is doing its job. Your serums preserve your skin. Everything works perfectly.

But if you’re someone who takes their skin care seriously (and appreciates formulas that pull their weight), there’s often a moment when you start to wonder if things could work a little harder. A little faster. A little smarter.

This moment is exactly why we created Youth Potion Advanced – the highest strength retina serum yet.

This is not a replacement for the original Youth Potion. The exact opposite. The original formula remains a bestseller for a reason. But once the skin becomes confident with the retina at this lower power, there is a natural next step: more power, smarter delivery and faster visible results. Youth Potion Advanced is designed for just that moment.

What is Youth Potion Advanced?

Youth Potion Advanced is a high strength retinal serum – 7 times more powerful than our original Youth Potion – designed for skin that is already comfortable with the use of vitamin A.

At its core is the the world’s first certified natural retinasupported by a multifunctional complex.

Instead of relying on traditional emulsification, Youth Potion Advanced is encapsulated, suspending retinal and other oil-based active ingredients. 200,000 microcapsules of vegetable origin. Each pump is released around 1,500 of these microcapsules on the skindelivering hundreds of trillions of active molecules with each use in a controlled and gradual manner.

Tri-frame optical ingredients featuring advanced marine retina (boosts collagen), plant peptides (firms and restores) and bakuchiol (reduces fine lines).

Why the retina is the gold standard of vitamin A

In the vitamin A family, retinal has become a favorite among dermatologists and formulators. The reason lies in how effectively it works.

For vitamin A to work with the skin, it must eventually become retinoic acid, the form that skin cells respond to. The retina is just one step away from this form. This makes it significantly more effective than traditional retinol, which requires additional conversion before it becomes biologically active.

The result is an ingredient capable of delivering faster improvements in skin texture, firmness, elasticity, fine lines, uneven tone, and overall clarity and radiance. That’s why Retinal has increasingly become the modern gold standard in vitamin A skin care.

What makes Tropic Retinal Serum different?

Not all retinal serums are created equally. Many rely on retinol as a single active ingredient, providing results largely through its concentration alone. Youth Potion Advanced takes a different approach.

1. 7 times more powerful active substances

Youth Potion Advanced contains 7 times more powerful active ingredients* from the original Youth filter, designed for skin that has already developed a tolerance to vitamin A.

This allows for faster visible renewal and enhanced results on multiple signs of aging, without overwhelming the skin barrier.

2. Multi-Active Renewal Complex

Retinal doesn’t work alone here. We have built Youth Potion Advanced around one multifunctional complex to support the skin at every stage of the renewal process.

Along with high-performance retina, the formula includes a network of supporting substances designed to hydrate, strengthen and protect the skin. Think multivitamins (including vitamins C, E and B12) for antioxidant support, polymolecular hyaluronic acid and peptides for hydration, firmness and bounce, coenzyme Q10 to support collagen production and electric daisy extract – often called the “Botox plant” for its visible firming and brightening effects.

The result is a formula that supports the skin from many angles at once.

3. Encapsulation technology

The retina is clearly sensitive. Exposure to oxygen, light or water can destabilize it before it even reaches your skin.

To protect it, Youth Potion Advanced uses encapsulation technology, actively housing within a plant-based polymer matrix. Inside each bottle nearly a quarter of a million microcapsules sit suspended, protecting its ingredients and ensuring they remain intact until applicationwhile allowing slower release to reduce the risk of irritation despite higher strength.

4. Cold processing to maintain strength

The retina is a famously high-maintenance component. Brilliant, yes, but also delicate. Treat it too hard during construction and you risk weakening it before it even makes contact with your face.

Many retinal serums are made as emulsions, meaning that oil and water are mixed together into a uniform formula. Importantly, this process often requires high heat, and heat is not always kind to sensitive active ingredients.

Youth Potion Advanced takes a different route, using encapsulation technology – suspending retinol and other oil-based active ingredients within tiny protective microcapsules within the formula. Think of them as miniature delivery systems, designed to keep these ingredients shielded and stable until they reach your skin.

Because this process uses minimal heat, it protects the strength and performance of actives from the beginning. In other words, less is lost during construction and more gets where you really want it: on your face.

Who should use Youth Potion Advanced?

Youth Potion Advanced is not designed to be everyone’s first retina serum.

On the contrary, it is formulated for experienced vitamin A users who are ready to advance to a stronger level of performance.

If your skin is already comfortable using Retina regularly and you want to accelerate visible results, this formula offers a stronger step forward.

If you’re new to retinal, however, starting with our original Youth Potion remains the best place to start. We recommend using two full-sized bottles of Youth Potion before moving on to the advanced formula.

How to insert high strength retina

Even experienced retina users benefit from a gradual introduction when building strength.

Start by using Youth Potion Advanced two to three evenings a weekallowing your skin time to adjust to the increased power. As your skin becomes more comfortable, you can slowly increase the frequency.

And as with any vitamin A product, always pair the retina with a broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily – like Sun Day, CC Cream or tinted Skin Shade.

Youth Potion vs Youth Potion Advanced

Think of these types less as alternatives and more as different stages on the same progression scale.

Youth filter
Your starting point with retina.
Dual-phase delivery designed to build tolerance while smoothing, refining and renewing the skin.

Youth Potion Advanced
The next level.
7x stronger active ingredients*, encapsulated formula and accelerated visible results for skin ready to go further.

One builds results. The other reinforces them.
