In December 2024, we learned more details about the team behind the World Fitness Project.

  • At that time, we knew that six times CrossFit game athletes And the 2024 Masters CrossFit Games Champion Will Moorad was one of the founders of the organization – but there was more at that point.

We learned that he worked in collaboration with a group of people, everyone shared the common goal to create something new and to provide athletes more opportunities to make a living, giving fans more events throughout the year to support.

This new championship, The World Fitness Tour, will include multiple living events with many moving places and programming that tests the most capable athletes while giving the community and viewers a meaningful experience.

To draw this, a lot of attention and thought was put to whom to hire for the critical roles of the managers.

Both names could sound familiar, as Ansley was part of the Legends crew he put on the Masters Games in 2024 and many years of the Legends Championship.

  • He has also run the 1st Phorm Monster Games For eight years and recently became the owner of the team competition, Heart of America.

THE 1st Phorm Monster Games It has grown rapidly and is now one of the top events in Midwest. With the help of Jacob Heppner’s veteran games, athletes have unique programming and fans with an exciting experience.

  • THE online qualifying is open at present and closes on February 18th. The live event will take place at the Overland Park Convention Center in Overland Park, KS, July 25-27.

On the other side of the lake, Roger Gillros is the man behind Wodla, whose events consist of Oslo Throwdown, Norwegian throwing, Sweden she throws and Gothenborg Throwdown.

  • THE Oslo throwdown is the greatest competition of northern Europe And it attracts Norwegian superstar Kristin Holte and Matilde Garnes, among many other great athletes. This year, it will take place on October 24-26.

The two men have enormous experience organizing competitions and community events, have gyms and planning.

Besides, both share enthusiasm for their new roles, they work with a group of like -minded people and try to build something innovative and important.

During my interviews with Ansley and Gillros, the respect and companionship they felt for the World Fitness project team was noticeable.

  • ‘Are the right people behind it – They have overcome very good people. All of these people do it all for the right reasons, “Gillros told Morning Chalk Up.

“It’s the right guy, at the right time,” said Ansley, referring to Moorad.

Learn and adjust

What both Gillros and Ansley found the most encouraging to join the WFP team is their willingness to learn and grow together.

  • “They really have transparent from the beginning to what they want to do, And the reason I have so much respect for them is that they hear. They are willing to hear, learn, adapt, “Gillros said.

He learned very quickly that they were open for feedback, which made his desire to participate more and more.

This issue has played an important role in Gillros’s life and career.

As a veteran event manager, he has vast experience, although he recognizes that without being open to new experiences and prospects, there is no way to grow.

  • ‘I think my most important job between events is to travelLearn, adjust and stay up to date [on] where the sport goes to all pillars [athletes, crew, judges, sponsors, and spectators]”Gilros said.

Ansley agrees, saying that WFP has shown their opening and willingness to learn to create something great.

  • “They look at me for some guidance and listen. This is a big deal – they want to learn my opinion and listen to it, “Ansley said.” They take care of doing everything they can to take care of the athletes while bringing the community next to them. It’s exactly what’s missing and I think it will be great. ”

Create something great

The two events managers are looking forward to working together and learning from each other.

While Ansley directs the ship for the two tournaments in the United States (Indianapolis, In and Phoenix, AZ), Gillros will be responsible for the final, which will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark.

  • ‘I will still be in Europe for the final, And I learn as much as I can to perform events in Europe, “Ansley said.”[But] Roger gets this for the European event, because I don’t want to pretend that I know what I’m doing in Europe, so we need someone to show us that way, but I want to know as much as possible. ”

Gilros discussed the decision to hold the final event in Denmark.

  • “They came to me and said,” Roger, where in Europe you would have the final – You can decide. “And I was like,” for me, there was only one place in Europe “, and that was Copenhagen in Denmark,” Gilros said.

He explained that while Europe hosts many CrossFit competitions, Denmark is not at this time.

Taking this, it was important for WFP not to move on to any toes or to create clashes with current events.

  • ‘You have to respect the ecosystem – This is an important part of it. You can’t come as a beginner and get the market. This is something you have to respect, “Gillaros said.

Ansley and Gillros predict this work and their events as successful from the beginning.

This is not only due to the elite athletes who will participate, but also the “natural built -in stories” that are forced to come from the Challenger athletes who are competing for their card for 2026.

  • “I think it will be wildly popular” Said Ansley. ‘Assuming we have the success we believe we will have, we [turn over] Some advantages that have guaranteed Pro cards for 2025 […] And get some new blood. We know it’s going to happen, and it’s going to be a cool story. ”

When asked if there would be a buy-in from the community immediately, Ansley thought it would exist.

He explained that the 40 athletes who have already signed are most of whom fans want to watch compete, so as not to mention these 20 additional men and women who will win their spot to compete with them.

  • In addition, there is the community element, consisting of hundreds of athletes who compete with the same event at the same time. In Ansley’s opinion, this will be a critical part of the way WFP will receive community support.

Moorad and the WFP team will plan the events, with the feedback of Ansley and Gillros on logistics and flow.

The bottom line

Gilos shared with us that his passion and driving behind the competitive capacity and everything they do is based on more than a love to train and make money.

It is something deeper, and it is an idea that is shared between Ansley, Moorad and the whole team.

And while some may examine WFP as a competition with CrossFit and the CrossFit season, they do not necessarily see it in the same way.

  • “We will all benefit if CrossFit is stronger. We will do it, “Ansley concluded.

Registration is Currently open For the online qualifiers for the Tour Event One, which will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana on 9-11 May.
