The actress “Transformers” admits that his decision was due to medical results that had low testosterone levels and had a positive effect on his energy levels in general. However, doctors warn that this treatment is not for everyone and different-and certainly not for general exercise or against aging.

According to people.com, Duhamel said his wife was one of the factors responsible for starting hormone replacement treatment. “It is important to her that I live as young and virile as I can,” the actor said of his wife, who was married in 2022.

What is testosterone replacement treatment?

Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is a medical treatment used for men who have very low testosterone levels due to health conditions.

“It can help improve energy, sexual movement, mood and muscle strength, but it is important to understand that TRT is not intended for general fitness or aging in healthy people,

What are the side effects of TRT?

According to Dr. Kandula, TRT can reduce the number of sperm, leading to infertility. It can also increase the levels of red blood cells unusually, which increases the risk of blood clots. In men who already have a high risk of prostate cancer, TRT may accelerate cancer growth. “This is why it is very important to undergo blood tests and screening of the prostate before you start this treatment,” he adds.

Dr Aninda Sidhana, a sexual medicine consultant, says that improved energy levels through testosterone replacement therapy can be just a placebo.

“Sexual performance and vitality do not depend solely on testosterone levels at all. There are multiple chemicals that play a role even in erectile dysfunction or poor sexual performance. Lifestyle factors are much more critical.
TRT approval to increase intimacy and (sexual compatibility) can lead to men’s testosterone supplements to improve performance, “says Sidhana.

This treatment should always be used under the care of a qualified doctor, such as an endocrinologist, and regular monitoring tests to ensure safety and efficiency.
