You have tried everything. Orres, peels, even those fancy cylinders. But these acne scars? They just won’t stop. The battle against acne scars is real. As someone with prone acne, oily skin, I know firsthand that it is a frustrating, continuing struggle that may seem endless. So, every time something new comes out, claiming to act as an acne scar treatment, it is difficult not to be strange. If you have heard whispering about polynucleotide injections, you hope it may be the revolution you have been expecting. But with so many treatments that they do not deliver, skepticism is understandable. Let’s explore the research and see if PN injections can really make the difference as acne scar treatment.

What are polynucleotide injections?

Polynucleotides are DNA and RNA pieces. In your body, they help repair your skin itself. In the clinic, dermatologists use polynucleotide injections, also called salmon sperm to improve skin texture, reduce wrinkles and hydrate the skin. They may also help redness. This makes them popular for people who want better skin.

Most dermatologists use polynylbid injections to help enhance collagen and repair the skin as an anti -aging treatment. This suggests that they could help with acne scars. Acne scars occur when collagen and skin tissue are damaged. But do polynucleotide injections really help as acne scar treatment?

The science behind the injections of polynucleotide to improve the skin: Can salmon sperm act as acne scar treatment?

So what does science say about how these injections of polynucleotides really work on your skin? Most studies have focused on things such as skin texture, hydration, how elastic your skin is and if they can reduce wrinkles. Basically, they consider general skin improvements and anti-aging. They have found that polynucleotide injections can help your skin feel more elastic and hydrated. Think about giving your skin a large drink of water, which can make it look smoother. In addition, the people who have tried these treatments tend to be quite happy with how the overall quality of the skin improves. Of course, everyone’s experience was a bit Different depending on their age and skin themes they face.

There are also some indications that PN injections can help in the redness of the face. But when it comes to these deeper acne scars, the species that really digs on your skin, the research is not yet there. We need even more studies to know if they make a significant difference. Finally, A study has shown that fillers in combination with polynucleotides can improve skin thickness, tone and wrinkles. This suggests that they have some possibilities for repairing the skin. But again, it is more for general skin improvement and less for a targeted scarring.

So Do polynucleotide injections for acne scars work?

All of these studies show that polynucleotide injections can improve the skin. But there is a little direct proof that it is an effective acne treatment. Acne scars often mean less collagen and uneven skin. Collagen reinforcements (such as microneedling and lasers) are more tested and true than polynucleotide injections. Thus, while a face salmon sperm can be a good choice to help repair the skin and hydration, it is not yet a healing for deep acne.

By comparing injections of polynucleotides into other popular acne treatments

If you are thinking about injections of polynucleotides for acne scars, compare them with other treatments:

TreatmentHow it worksEffectiveness for acne scars
Injections of polynucleotideMoisturizes skin, improves elasticity, make collagenRemoves damaged skin and makes new skin
Microneedling with rfCreates minor injuries to make collagenProven for acne scars
Laser treatment (Co₂, Fraxel, PDL)Can improve the texture but does not prove to be deep scarsVery effective for deep scars
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) PaymentsIt fills temporary scarsCan improve texture, not prove to be deep scars
Chemical peelsRemoves the skin, makes new cellsMild to moderate improvement for surface scars

Many dermatologists use injections of polynucleotide in combination with other treatments. When used in this way, they could help with acne scars. But it is not an autonomous acne treatment.

Final verdict: are polynucleotide injections a good scar treatment?

Injections of polynucleotide promise to improve overall skin quality, but no powerful scientific element proves that they are an effective autonomous treatment for acne scars. They can help enhance hydration, improve skin texture and support collagen production, which could contribute to a smoother appearance. However, for deep, atrophic scars, treatments such as laser treatment, tiny or chemical peels remain the golden model.

If you are looking for scarring of scarring, polynucleotide injections or a sperm of salmon may be a beneficial additive, but it should not be your first line choice. Always consult a dermatologist or aesthetic professional to determine the best treatment plan for your skin type and the severity of your scarring.

Would you consider polynucleotide injections as part of your skin care routine? Let us know in the comments!
