Weight loss piercings are all rage these days. Popular brands such as Wegovy and Ozempic have been scanning all over America and Europe, giving many people who are struggling with the hope of losing weight to achieve a healthy body weight.

But these piercings can produce drastic changes in your body. What changes will these medicines make?

Better2KNow has developed a 12 month health monitoring program for those receiving weight loss piercings. This program uses simple home blood tests to monitor basic health indicators during a weight loss journey.

Continue to read to find out more.

UK has approved weight loss holes

In the fall of 2023, The UK government approved semaglutide for weight loss According to Nice instructions. The semaglutide (widely known for the Wegovy brand) is intended to be used in combination with other weight management strategies, such as diet and increased physical activity.

Since then, regulators have also approved other medicines, such as Mounjaro. These medicines are available through NHS with a doctor’s reference and can also be purchased by private providers.

How do weight loss piercings work?

Most weight loss piercings help you lose weight by regulating your appetite and slowing gastric discharge (the process by which food and liquids move through your intestine). They do this with two compounds: Tirzepatide and semaglutide.

Semigliditis is a GLP-1 receptor (peptide-1) GLP-1 receptor. It mimics the GLP-1 hormone that regulates the appetite and intake of your body’s food. Taking Semaglutide will help you feel full for a longer period, thereby reducing calories and promoting prolonged weight loss.

Tipaepatide, on the other hand, activates both the GIP (dependent on glucose insulinopic polypeptide) and the GLP-1 receptors. This enhances insulin sensitivity, reduces appetite and slows down gastric discharge.

Most of these weight loss treatments are designed for:

  • Adults with one Body Mass Index (BMI) 30 or higher (sorted as obese)
  • Adults with one DEST 27 or higher who also has a state of health associated with weight, such as:
    • Type 2 diabetes
    • High blood pressure
    • High cholesterol
    • History of heart attack or stroke
  • People with type 2 diabetesParticularly those who need improved blood sugar control or decrease in cardiovascular risk
  • People who are overweight or obese with a history of cardiovascular diseaseusing these medicines to reduce the risk of heart attacks or strokes
  • Age 45 years of age or older with one BMI 27+ and additional cardiovascular risk factors

All of these medicines are designed to operate in parallel with a diet and exercising reduced temperature.

What are the options?

While many other products can enter the market in the future, there are three brands of weight loss that seems to be the most popular.

Mounjaro

Mounjaro was designed to help adults with type 2 diabetes to more effectively manage their blood sugar levels.

It is taken as an injection once a week, mimics GIP and GLP-1, which help regulate insulin, reduce appetite and slow digestion. This double -action approach improves blood sugar control and has also been shown to support significant weight loss in many patients.

Wegovy

Wegovy was developed for long -term weight loss and management in adults and adolescents with obesity and related health issues such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes or high cholesterol.

It is given as an injection once a week, Wegovy mimics GLP-1, which helps to regulate the appetite and intake of food. Reducing hunger and deceleration of digestion help you feel more fully for a longer period, leading to reduced calorie intake and sustainable weight loss.

Nuns

OZEMPIC is mainly used to help adults with type 2 diabetes manage their blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular events such as heart attack or stroke.

Like Wegovy, Ozempic mimics the GLP-1 hormone, which helps to regulate insulin, reduce sugar production in the liver and slow digestion. This leads to improved blood sugar control and a feeling of fullness after meals. Although it was not officially approved for weight loss in the United Kingdom, many patients face weight reduction as a secondary benefit.

How can I watch my health indicators during weight loss trip?

When such deep changes in your body occur, it is reasonable to monitor your overall health. Knowing your basic line health indicators can help you find out when to take action and seek medical advice.

Better2KNow has developed a comprehensive health test plan to monitor vital health indicators during a weight loss journey.

This 12 month program It includes a wide range of tests aimed at detecting any health problems related to weight loss management.

  • Liver Operation Test: It gives a picture of general liver health and how your liver processes fats, sugars and medicines.
  • Lipid profile: It measures cholesterol and triglycerides, so important to monitor your cardiovascular health.
  • Diabetes indicators: It determines your blood sugar levels for several months to help you understand your metabolic health.
  • Inflammation indicators: It evaluates your body inflammation levels by providing information on the systematic tendency associated with weight and metabolic health.
  • Pancreatic operation: Tests for your pancreatic enzyme levels. Monitoring amylase can help you determine your pancreatic health while using weight loss medications.
  • Electrolytes and renal function: It evaluates your initial kidney function and key electrolyte levels to ensure that your kidneys work properly.

These tests are designed to help you understand your body answer to weight loss medicines. Throughout the 12 -month plan, these tests are repeated, creating base and providing a picture of how these basic lines have changed during the weight loss journey.

If your tests detect any abnormalities after 3 months, Better2Know provides a free private doctor consultation To discuss your results and choices.
