Could your skin care routine be an aging skin care routine in disguise?

Get Sarah. Cylinder through Tiktok when she stumbled on his favorite skin care routine of her favorite beauty for glass skin. “

The process seemed amazing on the camera. It included a vitamin C serum, retinol cream, glycolic acid graphite, salicylic acid cleanser and three different exfoliation exfoliation throughout the week.

“This will change your life!” The influence promised, showing her flawless skin.

Sarah ordered everything and popped his head in the routine. She was overwhelmed when, within two weeks, her face was covered with red, irritated patches. Small hits appeared around her chin, the bags under her eyes looked worse, and her skin felt tight and sensitive – nothing like the cool glow she had promised.

How frustrating! What Sarah did not know was that she was victimized by a routine routine of the skin in disguise – one that made her skin larger, no younger.

The hidden truth about popular skin care routines

Unfortunately, many of the modern skin care routines you find in social media or elsewhere can really accelerate the aging of the skin, they may do more harm than good. These routines may promise youthful results, but they can damage the natural protective barrier of your skin, leading to premature aging, sensitivity and a number of other issues.

Your skin is protected for your whole life. It has its own renewal system, its own pH balance and its own way of staying healthy. When we apply too many hard ingredients to it or follow complex routines that disrupt its natural processes, the skin is often revolutionaries. It can grow faster, appear weaker, break out more often, or even dependently dependent on normally operating products.

The most frustrating place is that you think you are doing something “good” for your skin as they told you. 1. The trap of excess correction

It was once that we could exfoliate once every two weeks or, at most, once a week. But these days, it looks everywhere, we hear about more and more exfoliation. Some beauty influences recommend that they do it every day and often scrub it with hard particles.

A skin care routine that uses frequent exfoliation can quickly be reversed. Here is because: Your skin naturally throws dead cells every 28 days. This slows down as you grow older, so it is recommended to exfoliate frequently to accelerate the process and maintain the skin that looks younger. However, when you overdose, you could remove healthy skin cells that are not ready to remove, leaving your skin raw and vulnerable.

Excessive spread can also damage the outer barrier of the skin, leading to increased sensitivity, redness and, ironically, more visible signs of aging, such as fine lines and dark spots.

Try this instead: Dismiss no more than once or twice a week and avoid rubbing them with served beads or crystals. Use a gentle exfoliation enzyme or a mild chemical exfoliated that includes gentle acids such as salicylate and malic. Watch your skin for marks – they must look happy and healthy. If it is red and irritated, exfoliate less frequently. These are only a few examples, but in general, accumulating too many targeted treatment ingredients on your skin can do more harm than good.

Try this instead: Use only one active ingredient at a time or use two, but use them on alternating days or nights. If you experience irritation, redness, sensitivity, breakouts or other reactions, escalate back. Use Rescue + PH relief spray after applying any active ingredient, as it can help ensure skin barrier and help balance the skin. It is particularly useful to calm redness and irritation from exfoliation.

Aging skin care 4. The obsession DIY Chemical Peel

Social media is full of DIY skin care recipes that promise professional home results. These often include the manufacture of strong acid peels, mixing incompatible ingredients or the use of household species such as baking soda or lemon juice on your face.

The problem with these homemade solutions is that there are so many that you cannot control the levels, concentrations and possible interactions between the ingredients. In addition, what works for someone else’s skin may not work for yours. Baking soda, for example, has a pH that is overly high for most of the facial skin and can disrupt your acid cloak for weeks.

Try this instead: Stick with quality products manufactured by conscientious companies.
