You don’t even have to watch the news to know that things are not going well in our world. The signs of collapse are around us. There are two ways in which most people respond: (1) Close your eyes, put your head in the sand and pretend that everything is well or hope that some magic solution will be invented to correct things quickly and easily (2) to redirect your fear, wrath and wrath to from another and temporarily calm your nerves.

There is another option that is more effective, but not for the dim heart. It begins when we face the truth about our present situation. I got my own wake -up call thirty years ago. See how I described it in my last book, Long Live Men! Moon sending to heal men, close the void of life and offer hope Humanity:

“In 1993 I attended a men’s leaders’ conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. One of the activities offered was a traditional sweat shelter ceremony, where we demand guidance and support for ourselves and our communities.

We are all in a huge ocean investment. Everything we know and ever know is on board. People are born and die. Goods and services are created, the elections are held and challenged. The species are created and faced with disappearance. The ship is steaming and there is no doubt that it will continue its present course forever.

There are many decks on the ship, starting with the boiler, where the poorest and most sad worker to keep the ship goes. As you go up to the decks, things get lighter and easier. People running the ship have suites on top deck. Their job, as they see it, is to keep the ship going and keep them on the lower decks in their appropriate positions. Since they are at the top, they are sure they deserve to gain more and more resources on the Earth.

Everyone on the lower decks aspire to reach the next deck and hunger to reach the top. This is the way it is. This is the way it was always. This is the way it will always be. However, there are some people who realize that something very strange is happening. What they know is that the ship sinks. Initially, like everyone else, they can’t believe it. The ship has been floating from time before. It’s the best of the best. That it could sink is inconceivable. Nevertheless, they are confident that the ship sinks.

They are trying to warn people, but no one believes them. The ship cannot sink, and anyone who believes should be mentally ill. When they insist on trying to warn people about what they are facing, those responsible for their ship are silent and locking them. The ship’s media keep the news that describes how wonderful the future will be. Any problems that occur will certainly be resolved by the wonders of our civilized, technological lifestyle.

The ship’s leaders smile, wave and promise prosperity for everyone. But the water begins to leak down. The higher the water increases, the more frightened by people and the more frenzy they struggle to reach the upper decks. Some believe it is the end and really welcome the prospect of destruction of life as we know it. They believe it is the fulfillment of religious prophecy. Others are becoming increasingly irritable, angry and depressed. Like the cage rats, they bite their own queues and those of their cages who seem to be a threat.

But as water grows, those who have issued warnings can no longer be silent. More people escape the restriction and lead others to lifeboats. Although there are enough boats for everyone, many people are reluctant to leave the ship. Many questions are asked. “Old stories tell us that we are on this ship for more than six thousand years, it is no safer to stay on board? Could things really be so bad to leave? Where are we going? Who will lead us?

Nevertheless, the ship sinks. Many people go over the side and go down to the boats. As they descend, they are embarrassed to see letters on the side of the ship: TITANIC. When they reach the lifeboats, many are afraid and looking for someone who seems to know what to do. They would like to drive with these people.

However, they find that each person must reach their own boat and move away from the ship in their own direction. If they do not escape the ship as soon as possible, they will be pulled with it. When everyone who wants to leave, everyone in his own boats, rowing in his own direction, reaches his or her own place in the ocean, begin to create a new, partnership. It will be the basis for a new lifestyle that will replace the life that lived on the old ship of culture.“

Here is what I learned that it helped me survive and thrive

1. “Culture” is an incorrect name. His right name is the “Dominator model”.

In her international book with the best sales, The chalice and the gooseberry: our story. Our future, Originally published in 1987, historian Riane Eisler said,

“The underlying diversity of human culture is two basic models of society. The first I call the dominant model, what is widely called either patriarchy or moderate – the classification Half of humanity over the other. The second, in which social relationships are mainly based on the principle of link Can be best described as the partnership model.”

You See my podcast with Riane and her team at the Corporate Relationship Systems Center here.

2. There is a better world beyond culture.

In 1992 I was given the book Isshmael, with Daniel Quinn. I got a clear sense of the two worlds competing for our attention: a world where the hierarchy and rule of domination (Quinn calls the world of Reception) and a world where the rule of equality and connection (Quinn calls the world of Leavers. In his book, Beyond culture: the next great adventure of mankind, Quinn says,

“Apart from culture it is not a geographical space in the mountains or on a remote island. It is a cultural space that opens among people with new minds.”

It’s not time to give up. It’s time to arrive!

3. Don’t miss the heart. We were made for these moments.

Clarissa Pinkola Estes, author of Women running with wolves, He wrote this inspirational letter to all of us who are concerned about the future. Said in part:

“My friends, don’t miss our hearts. They were done for these times. I have heard from so many recently that are deep and properly confused. They are worried about the state of things in our world now.

“I grew up in the big lakes and recognized a boat I see when I see one.

“Ours is not a duty to determine the whole world at the same time, but to extend to repair the part of the world that is possible.”

4. Review our relationship with planet Earth.

According to world -renowned writer and social scientist Jeremy Rifkin,

“We have long believed that we are living on a planet of the earth when we actually live on a planet of water and now the Hydro -Earth’s Hydro -Earth takes us to a mass extinction as it seeks a new normal.”

In his important and timely book, Planet Aqua: Re -examining our house in the universe, Rifkin says that we must abandon our belief that it is our duty to dominate and control nature and reconnect as partners throughout life on Earth. Says,

“We have to re -think the waters as a ‘source of life’ and not to another ‘resource’ to exploit and learn to adapt the hydrosphere and not to try to adapt us the hydrosphere.”

5. Find your breed outside the boundaries of culture.

The rulers of culture would give us believe that even if the ship sinks, we could go down with it because there are no better choices. This is the big lie of culture. As my vision showed me, there are millions of alternatives and more and more lifeboats in the water every day, but you will not know about them in the media that control the company. You can find out more here.

6. Double the course of your service.

We have to act now or we will scan from the currents of change. In her book, Who do we choose to be? Facing reality, claiming leadership, restoring logic, My long -term colleague and my friend, Margaret J. Wheatley says,

“My ambition is for you to see clearly so you can act wisely. If we do not know where we are, if we do not know what to prepare, then every course we choose will keep us wandering in the desert, increasingly desperate, increasingly lost.”

Margarita sent me a recent email:

“I am grateful to announce a new, self-regulated lesson available from October 5th 2025, Claiming your service course: choosing to serve this age of collapse and probability; developed with the excellent platform Advaya.life. ”
