With the time of cold and flu just around the corner, the first things that come to mind to strengthen the immune system are oranges, chicken soup or extra supplements. Why herbs and spices are so strong

Herbs and spices are rich in antioxidants, phytochemicals and anti -inflammatory compounds and these natural chemicals can help in the calm of inflammation, fight harmful germs and support your immune system. Because the amounts on herbs and spices are concentrated, even a sprinkle can have an impact when used regularly.

Here are some herbs and spices:

  1. Garlic

    • Garlic is famous for its powers for natural fighting. It contains a natural compound called Allicin, which helps the body to avoid colds and flus by supporting white blood cell activity and body response to infections.

    • Try this: Grill raw garlic in salad and dip, or add at the end of the cooking to maintain the drastic compounds.

2. Ginger

3. Turmeric

4 cinnamon

7. Cayenne Pepper

  • Cayenne pepper is rich in vitamins C and A. The antioxidant properties of vitamin C help maintain your immune materials and vitamin A plays an important role in balancing immunocommiles. The active compound, capsaicin, also has anti -inflammatory properties that promote circulation.

  • Try this:Sprinkle in eggs, beans or popcorn.

8. Black pepper

  • Its active compound, pepperine, helps protect cells, reduce inflammation and enhance digestive health. It can also increase the number and activity of white blood cells.

  • Try this: Sprinkle it on any dish to improve its taste. Black pepper highlights the flavors of strawberry and adds complexity to chocolate desserts.

Herbs and spices are an easy way to add taste and food to your meals. It is the way of nature to give us immune support tools in our kitchen.
