Winnie The Pooh Maternity Outfit

We love this Winnie The Pooh inspired costume. It’s a quick and easy homemade option that’s sure to make you the sweetest guest at your next Halloween party. Pair this adorable suit with tennis shoes for apple picking all night long.

Supplies:

  • Shears
  • Hot glue gun
  • T-shirt dress with mustard yellow jumpsuit
  • Cropped red t-shirt
  • Mustard Yellow Marker (Same color as your t-shirt)
  • Black Sharpie or Paint Marker
  • Gray or white dollar store jar
  • Headband
  • Yellow felt

Instructions:

  1. First, use the yellow marker to write “Pooh” on the red t-shirt. Set aside to dry.
  2. Then, using the yellow paint marker, draw honey dip marks around the opening of your jar. It’s okay if it looks a little messy, Mom. Pooh was kind of dumb anyway.
  3. Using the black marker or paint marker, write “Hunny” with the second “n” backwards. Set aside to dry.
  4. Cut two 4 inch long ovals from your felt. Lie flat on a protected surface and place the headband over the felt oval. Make sure the ovals are at least 2 inches apart.
  5. Use the glue gun to glue along the perimeter of the felt. Fold each piece of felt together on the opposite side. Make sure your “ears” are pointing up.
  6. Voila! You have the Winnie The Pooh outfit.

TOP TIP: Leave some snacks in your ‘hunted’ pot. Trust me, you’ll thank me later.

Pregnant pumpkin belly

Nothing says Halloween like a pumpkin. Use your hitting to your advantage and try a pregnant pumpkin belly. This is such a fun and creative DIY costume to make with your partner, bestie or even your child. And when we say this is the EASIEST of all the costumes we’ve listed, we mean it. You literally just sit or lie down while the “artist” paints your pumpkin for you. So take a load, mom. They’ll trick or treat you in no time!

Supplies:

  • Non-toxic Orange Face Paint
  • Non-toxic brown face paint
  • Non-toxic black face paint
  • 1 medium size brush
  • 1 Small brush
  • Cup of water (to rinse your brushes)
  • Towel (to dry brushes between uses)
  • 3 paper plates
  • Art Assistant (or anyone who can use a brush)

Instructions:

  1. Place each color of paint on separate paper plates (so they don’t mix together)
  2. Using the medium sized brush and the orange paint, paint a large circle around your belly. Once you’re satisfied with the shape, fill in the rest with orange.
  3. While the orange paint is drying, start painting the stem of your pumpkin with brown paint and the small brush. We suggest painting a vertical rectangle to make this easy. For our more artistic readers, go ahead and feel free!
  4. Now that your orange paint has dried a bit, add your pumpkin grooves. Using the same brush and brown color, add curved slightly wavy lines under your belly.
  5. Rinse and dry the brush with a towel.
  6. Next, you will paint your face pregnant pumpkin belly. Using the small brush and black paint, make two triangles for eyes on the top of your pumpkin. In the center of your stroke draw another triangle to create a nose.
  7. Next, you will create the mouth. This part is entirely up to you and your partner. You can make it as cheesy or happy as you want. Just have fun with it!
  8. After you’ve finished your masterpiece, throw on a cropped black tank or tee and pair with comfy leggings and you’re good to go, mom!

These are just a few of our favorite maternity Halloween costumes. Whether you want to let your artistic side shine with one painted pregnant belly for Halloween or opt for a DIY pregnant pregnant pumpkin bellyjust have fun with it, mom! Halloween is a great time to show off your bump in a way you’ve never seen before.
