Sharing the details for an upcoming Dr. Cabral detox 7 days. Share the details here and how to join if you want!

Hello friends! How’s your morning going? I hope you are enjoying the long weekend! I drove it back from San Diego and jumped right into the activities: basketball games, family hike, ice cream and pizza night. It was perfect.

It’s hard to believe that the holidays are flying by so quickly and we’re back into the school year. To be perfectly honest, I’ve been slow going this year. It’s taken me longer to get back into the swing of things – I FINALLY broke out my 2026 planner last week – and in case many of you feel the same way, I thought we’d wait until we get started Fitnessista Community Detox.

Community detox round 2 details

I feel SO GREAT after each one and now that it’s been a few months I’m ready for another round. Usually every January, I do some sort of reset. Sometimes I cut out sugar and alcohol completely for a month, other times, I’ll just focus on solid food. Ever since I started doing this detox years ago, it’s something I look forward to doing every quarter.

It’s amazing to get back into the habit of eating (and craving) vegetables and fresh foods, especially after the merry avalanche of holiday desserts and cocktails.

Community detox details

Moderation is my jam now, especially since the days of deprivation are long gone. If I want a sweet treat or something more indulgent, I eat it and enjoy every bite. It’s been a few festive months and I’m feeling a bit sluggish and craving sugar more than usual. Usually by the time the New Year rolls around, I can’t wait to get back to more *normal* eating. I like to start it off with a little reset, and my favorite strategy is this liver-based functional medicine detox.

SO many of you joined me last time, so I wanted to invite you to join if you want to go for another round. THE The fun starts on February 2ndso you can order your kit now and you’ll be ready to go!

EquiLife 7-day detoxEquiLife 7-day detox

Here’s more on that 7 day detox:

– It is a liver based detox to help reset your body, take a break from digesting heavy foods, and potentially help your body flush out the toxins we accumulate from our environment. Contains functional medicine ingredients and Ayurvedic herbs to support phase 1 and 2 liver detoxification.

– Focuses on nutrition. Includes POWERHOUSE Daily Nutritional Support powder (which I’ve had in my daily protein pudding for years and notice a huge difference in how I feel when I include it) and meal instructions for the rest of the meals. The goal is to NOT deplete your body of nutrients during the process.

– May possibly help with weight losstogether with anti-aging and overall body well-being.

– It’s only 7 days! When I first started working with a naturopath (old days! It was like 2010), he had me do a month-long detox that was similar in format (but didn’t include the Ayurvedic supplements).

It’s much easier to do it for 7 days and I feel like my results were even better with the extra nutritional support. (The first two days are just supplements and smoothies – I usually add some berries – and on day 3, you add in nutrient-dense meals using their meal guidelines/template.) It’s also very flexible. Many people skip the fasting days and start the program on day 3 (smoothie in the morning, vegan lunch, Paleo dinner) and have great results.

The top 6 ingredients included in the program:

1) N-acetylcysteine (NAC), which can stimulate the body’s production of glutathione

2) Glutathione, which is an antioxidant that can help heal and detoxify the liver

3) Brocophane, an antioxidant that can enhance the liver’s ability to detoxify

4) Alpha Lipoic Acid, another antioxidant that can improve detoxification

5) Triphala, a trifecta of Ayurvedic herbs that can support detoxification and digestion

6) Vitamins and minerals, to support the body and help close nutritional gaps

Each detox kit includes the following:

Daily Nutritional Support:

This one stop shop for vitamins, minerals, proteins, electrolytes and antioxidants is the heart and soul of Dr.Cabral Detox. With 15 grams of vegan protein, Daily Nutritional Support provides your body with the energy and nutrition it needs, while your body begins to rid itself of toxins.

FM Detox:

Using the latest research in Functional Medicine, FM Detox provides the necessary compounds to support both phases of liver detoxification. Essential amino acids, antioxidants and botanical extracts such as milk thistle help the body capture and transport toxins to the liver where they can be metabolized and removed during the second phase. Ingredients such as dandelion root extract support the production of bile which aids in elimination. As a diuretic, dandelion root increases the water supplied to the liver which facilitates the elimination of toxins from the urine.

AYU Detox:

Incorporating ancient Ayurvedic healing traditions that support optimal detoxification, AM Detox helps kickstart the detoxification process. Various diuretics move water into the liver and increase the solubility of toxins. Triphala, the combination of three plants: Emblica Officinalis, Terminalia beellerica and Terminalia chebula, have been studied for their roles in gastrointestinal health. When used in combination, this powerful trio is suggested to promote the growth of beneficial gut microbes Bifidobacteria and Lactobacillus, while inhibiting the growth of unwanted strains.

Things I have noticed after doing this detox many times:

– As someone who has had gallbladder problems in the past (which I was able to resolve on my own), I always like to show my liver some extra support. I don’t have any gallbladder pain at all anymore (I think giving up fake meats helped with that too), and after my first detox, it’s something I’ve continued to do on a quarterly basis.

– My energy can be a little low on the first day, but by the second afternoon, I feel amazing. I’m energized, focused, my skin is glowing and I feel great.

– It is usually a very easy month for my cycle. I don’t have cramps or PMS symptoms, and I’ve learned that in the months when I’m more strategic with my workouts, sleep, stress relief, and diet, my cycles are smooth in the best way.

– Restores my taste buds. When I have more sugar in my diet, things like fruit and salad start to seem muted. Bringing things back to basics reawakens my senses to what I like to taste in food and I can get back to fully enjoying my meals and being present at mealtimes.

– I don’t weigh myself regularly, but I have noticed that my clothes fit better after a full detox. I feel less bloated and inflamed. You can read my recap of one of my first detoxes plus the recipes I used here!

This detox is NOT for you IF:

– you have or are recovering from an eating disorder. Keep working on improving your relationship with food and your health and know that I’m cheering for you and sending you my love and support.

– you are training for a strenuous event or need to maintain an extremely active lifestyle. For days 1-2 you want to take it easy (walks, stretches, gentle yoga or nothing). If you can’t do that, you can do a modified version of the detox by eating smoothies for breakfast and lunch and then a nutrient-dense dinner in the evening. Let me know if you have any questions about how to do this!

– Do you have any health concerns that would prevent you from participating.

****As always, consult your doctor before making any fitness or diet changes. Honor your body.****
