Having a cleaning program changed everything to me as a worker mom. Was no longer shocked by everything In my house – I knew that every room would have their “day” and get to all this, leaving me the ability to relax on the couch when it was time. It may also be a game change player for you.

Woman Cleaning // Cleaning Routines Could Make Life Easy?

Grab my print here – and then we’ll discuss how I did and how to make it for you!

Daily work

I can think of some ways to separate jobs that need to be done in your home (though I am sure there are many ways – one of them can echo you to start):

Divide by room: Every day, a room has been assigned. This way you are able to focus on cleaning this room, organize it and really dig deep into this room (and mostly ignoring the rest – though we will talk about it).

A type of cleaning: Maybe you make floors, or dusting, or cleaning meters and you from the room to the room just by doing this one project. This allows you to have the same cleaning products for each of the rooms, which is nice.

For me, I have combined these …. and I’ll show you how.

Before that I was trying to make flylady (is still something still?) – but I found it really overwhelming. I had young children, a job and a wife who had gone a long way … I needed it simple for where I could either do the least or more, depending on how the day went. If you are overwhelmed by a system you have now, this may be useful!

Looking for more household management tips – be sure to see these posts:

Weekly Cleaning Program Example:

I did a little combination of these two and will show you how it works for us:

Monday: kitchen/floors

  • Clean the meters
  • Deep clean something
  • Organize something
  • Clean the refrigerator
  • Sweep & Mop tile floors (which includes our main floor – I do all the tiles that day)

You will see that the front-loading our week a lot. I’m fresher, and at my best on Mondays, much less on Fridays – so it makes it work for you! (I realize this is not true for many people)

Tuesday: baths

I would like to say that I do not feel an urge to clean my whole bathroom every week – we reach the bathtubs/shower and hands and knees for the floor on weekends. I tend to do what bothers me and anything that is gross. You do what works for you.

  • Benches
  • Mirrors
  • Toilet
  • Floor around the toilet
  • Organize anything that doesn’t work in the bathroom

My kids are cleaning their own bathroom – and I start this earlier. I principle With the cleaning of the meter, or some of the floors (children are close to the floor – so that it works well) and slowly add things as they grow older.

Wednesday: Bedrooms and blank

  • Vacuum all areas with carpets at home
  • Organize in the bedroom

You can see that my energy for the week has already begun to get out …. This day is lighter and will continue to get lighter by the end of the week.

Thursday: rooms down

We have an office at home, a youtube movie room and a playroom below.

Because we are not too much here, I tend to choose only one organizational project down there. I go slowly our old games to donate or hold onto the objects.

Friday: lounge/dining room (which is also my office)

I like to do this on Fridays if we have a company at the weekend.

  • Dust the room (we have dark furniture)
  • Blank from sofa pillows/flip every so often
  • Organize anything in this area

Saturday: Family clean

I am analyzed in family routines, but it is about 20 minutes where we go home and get things – mostly we are just arranging and then deeply cleaning an area – all together (because I desperately need my kids to learn how to clean it and slowly).

Happy family cleaning family

Each week of the month is assigned an area to deep clean:

  • Week 1: Kitchen
  • Second Week: Bathrooms (that’s when we shower/floors)
  • Third week: Bedrooms (including windows, baseboards, etc.)
  • Week Four: Living Room (this is usually when the sofa takes a more detailed look and we also dust our roof fans)
  • If there is a 5th week we often clean the freezer that week.

Does this always go according to the “plan”? Not at all. We often skip the week of the bedroom if we are lazy a week, but I try to do the other weeks on Saturday, as the main goal is to teach children how to do it.

We are really just aiming for 20 minutes deep cleaning between us all – and it is amazing how much it can be in these 20 minutes.

I also like to have some optimistic music during this time.

Fyi, I also have my children to make their own areas in the same routine. They have jobs in the kitchen on Monday, baths on Tuesday, etc …. It’s all routine in our home!

Happy family cleaning family

I see a lot of hate on the internet to give kids a job around home, but I couldn’t argue more and having kids who moved – I know these skills I helped build it would be worth it!

I don’t do anything else?

I make 10 minutes neat every morning. Many people call that a “reset” – it is usually I empty the drainage by putting dishes in the dishwashers they left out, cleaning anything rejected somewhere. It’s just a quick route.

Think it sounds useful – I have a little challenge here for you:

Selected picture

When I had young children, I also did 5 minutes in the evening when I often pushed a battery gap around to get what the toddler was spilled, but now we have a blank robot that makes most of them.

If you feel like you want to clean your bathroom meters everyday or sweets everywhere – do this – just don’t do it, and that’s okay.

This 10 minue neatly will transform your home!

You do it

Every time I type this list, I worry that people will be ruled out that I do not clean the bathroom or bathroom floors per week.

But, we have tiles that are basically the color of dirt and I tried to plan it in a time frame that I think just starts to get gross when we clean it.

It’s a level of dirt with which I’m okay.

Need help to find out where to start the organization? Let's organize you today! Start

Maybe you want to go more or smaller, and that’s ok. We all do what works for us.

What did the cleaning program do for me?

When I started working as a job nurse, I quickly realized that my house was getting out of control and just made it difficult for me to feel “safe” to sit down, because all these things felt they should be done now.

Instead, I know that the bathroom will be cleaned on Tuesday, and as long as it doesn’t get me too much, it can wait.

Also, no area was lost.

I have also elaborated this through the years, moving houses and older children, what needs to be cleaned has changed. But the basic framework has remained the same and still works.

Also, when I started working full -time in creating content/podcasting/courses business and my husband stayed home, we knew what had to be done and made it easy to share jobs.

I have all the tasks in a list and makes it easy!

So do you think a cleaning program will work for you? How do you think you will organize it? Tell me in the comments!
