If you’re still using toothpaste or even harsh benzoyl peroxide to get rid of your blemishes, it might be time to upgrade your methods. It’s 2023 after all

Blemishes and acne are completely normal and something we all experience, but we totally understand that sometimes you just want to cut your fingers and make them go away.

Unfortunately, we can’t do that (yet), but instead of using old-fashioned methods that just dry out your skin, you can try the natural acne routine below that will do wonders to reduce the appearance of your blemishes, stat.

These formulas contain a host of natural anti-inflammatory and pore-cleansing ingredients to gently soothe your skin, reduce redness, and speed up your skin’s natural renewal process without compromising your skin’s barrier.

We promise you’ll never put toothpaste on your pimples again, which also means you don’t have to panic when someone rings your doorbell or—worse—drops a surprise FaceTime!

The basics – for best results repeat morning and night

Use these 3 steps daily to achieve clear, calm skin:

Step 1: Clean – Massage in a small amount You have this charcoal cleansing gel on your wet face. Rinse with water, a liquid Konjac sponge, or soft cloth. Activated charcoal absorbs dirt, sebum, grime, toxins and pollutants, while pineapple acts as a gentle exfoliator with AHAs.

Step 2: Treatment – Apply a small amount of the Tickle Pink Clarifying Tonic and gently pat/tap face, neck and décolleté. The gentle yet effective anti-acne formula exfoliates while nourishing and repairing your skin at the same time (very clever!).

Step 3: Moisturize – Follow with your light, non-clogging moisturizer while your skin is still damp. We love it “Make My Day” Bio-Retinol Gel Cream. (powered by probiotics and Moth Bean – the natural alternative to retinol).

Exfoliation or mask – An exfoliator can be used several times a week for your most radiant skin, however it may be best to start with just 1-2 times a week to make sure you don’t overdo it. We don’t recommend using all of these scrubs/masks together – it’s best to alternate between them to see which one you like best. The best time to exfoliate is after your cleanser.

Here are our favorite exfoliating and acne-clearing mask picks:

Add a serum – Serum FG 02 best applied before your moisturizer. Massage a drop or two into your skin and follow with your preferred moisturizer(s). If clear and calm skin like Cinderella is the goal, then this little beauty is here to help

Add a facial oil – Just 1-2 drops of face oil can either be a great alternative to a moisturizer or the last step at the end of your routine to lock in all the Woohoo goodness. Sunrise Over C Mattifying Facial Oil is an anti-inflammatory virtuoso for oily and blemish-prone skin, leaving no greasy residue or shine while reducing redness and blemishes.

When upgrading your Woohoo skin routine to include some of our luxury add-ons, we recommend using them in this order:

  1. Wash away
  2. Peel or mask (usually on alternate days or 1-2 days per week)
  3. Treatment (First toner and then serum)
  4. Moisturizing (first cream and then facial oil)

It’s really up to you to customize your routine based on what your skin responds to best, but this is a great place to start!

So remember…

  • Always follow your own Clear + Calm care routine morning and evening
  • Use a mask 1-2 times a week
  • Exfoliate 1-2 times a week (note that 2 times a week may be too much for some people)
  • Consider adding a serum or facial oil to your regimen to boost the skin-loving benefits.

Phoebe’s *extras* personal lifestyle for less pimples

  • Minimize makeup
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Exercise (sweating a lot helps!)
  • Keep your hair clean
  • Change your pillowcase regularly
  • Clean your phone (a haven for bacteria!)
  • Sleep enough. This can be difficult if you are a mom with young children.
  • Never touch your face (unless you are doing your morning/evening routine or have clean hands)
  • You can spray on a blemish-fighting toner such as Tickle Pink Clarifying Tonic and wipe with a makeup pad during the day if you feel a little oil build up. This is also a good thing to do if you work in a city and spend more than 30 minutes outside to remove any pollution films.
  • Watch your diet and eat as cleanly as possible. Good digestion results in good skin. The 80/20 rule does not work in this case. Even small amounts of the wrong food can be enough. Even though a food is healthy, it could be a problem.
