Can you get a Sti without having sex?

The more co -production it is on how infections can contribute, the easier it is to know how to take care of your sexual health and keep yourself safe.

Kissing

Simple contact with skin on skin can be enough to transmit some STDs. And kissing is no exception.

Many people fish the oral shingles from kiss. People with herpes herpes often develop cold wounds around their mouths, which can spread the infection. The lip virus down to the nerve endings around your jaw, occasionally migrating to the surface of the skin, creating wounds.

Some data They also suggest that kiss can be a way of transmission for gonorrhea, mainly among men who have sexual intercourse with men.

Oral sex

Oral sex is, of course, a form of sexual intercourse. Because of this, it creates a higher risk of transmitting infection. This is due to the fact that bacteria and viruses can penetrate the mucous membrane at the back of your neck.

Chlamydia and Gonorrhea It can be easily transmitted this way. When you perform oral sex in someone with bacterial infection in their genitals, infected body fluids are transported by the genitals to the mouth, thereby creating the infection. An oral infection, however, is incredibly rare.

Syphilis It can also be transmitted by contact with an infectious chancre (syphilis wounds). However, the transmissions of syphilis to the oral sex are more often passed in the other way, when one has a syphilis infection in their mouth or neck they perform oral sex. Using a condom during oral sex can help prevent STD catch, but it will not provide complete protection.

Sharing toothbrush, razors or needles

Blood infections can spread by sharing objects that can cut the skin, with someone who is infected. This includes HIV; Hepatitis b; and Hepatitis C.

To minimize the risk, you should always avoid using a toothbrush or razor of another person and never share needles.

Contaminated food

Hepatitis a can spread through contaminated foods or water. This is more common in developing countries with poor drainage. Someone who gets a hepatitis A infection through contaminated foods or water can pass the infection to another person through the oral in mine, where the faeces enter the mouth during sexual acts such as Rimming.

Shigella is another bacteria that can be transferred during mouth-nano contact. It produces gastroenteritis, but infected stools can be transferred during rimming.

Sharing of Sexual Toys

Unbelievable sex toys can pass on STDs between two or more people. This includes Chlamydia; Gonorrhea; Haircut; Genital herpes; Hpv among others. This is also the primary way Hepatitis C Infections spread (anal transmission to Nakos).

It is important to clean your sex games between use to prevent the spread of infection. You can read more about how to do here.

Final thoughts

If you want to avoid taking a Sti while being sexually active, you need to have safe sex using barrier contraception, such as condoms and dental dams. Non -protected sex is the main cause of new infections.

If you are worried that you have a sexually transmitted disease, you should try as soon as possible. The faster you know your sexual status, the better you can protect your health and the health of those you care about. Your sex life will be greatly improved for it.
