I’ve been sitting on these photos for years. Fair? I never thought I would post these. I was so bloated and felt awful about my body. But women text me regularly saying, “I’m so bloated. I feel awful after eating. Where do I even begin? It’s so hard this time of year.” I understood… Not sharing this didn’t help anyone. These photos show the reality. So, I’m finally opening up and sharing something personal with you: My Before and After Transformation… taken during the most difficult season of my life.
“Who is that girl in the mirror?” I thought.
Note: Background has been removed for privacy. These photos have not been edited.
My photos shocked me. I didn’t recognize myself. I was at my heaviest weight and had so much inflammation, bloating, intestinal distress and felt sick. And the wildest part? I didn’t know how bad I felt until I started feeling better.
My future self had no idea how much hard work and discipline was about to change her life and instincts forever.
The moment everything changed
In 2018, just before the holidays, I was advised by a top doctor to remove gluten immediately. I got angry, shocked and did it not I want to make it at Christmas — especially with my mother-in-law’s incredible homemade Italian feast.
But my instincts were a mess.
The inflammation was quite visible all over my body (although Blood work was completely normal with no signs of inflammation).
My body was begging for a change. So I made a promise to myself:
“Start with 1 day at a time and keep going. Give it 3 months. Do the work. Stay consistent. See what happens.”
And what happened still shocks me today. I was ashamed to show my face in my own photos
42 days later, the real transformation happened

How I started my gluten-free transformation
I didn’t diet my entire life, restrict calories, or do anything extreme. It started with a decision that gluten was harming my body and needed to be removed. Then I made simple but powerful changes — and they paid off:
1. I started the 10 day reset
This rebuilt my habits, cut the cravings that kept me stuck, and helped my body naturally detox.
2. I repeated four habits
These were the backbone of it all:

I removed gluten completely
And this is what happened over time:
Then the real transformation took place
This is 10 months later, no filter which I compared to week 1.

My jaw dropped.
Inflation; Lost.
Gravity; Lost.
Brain fog? Lost.
Inflammation on my face and belly? Lost.
The tight, sore, swollen feeling I lived with? Lost.
This before and after photo changed my life. It reminded me that small, consistent steps can create huge changes — even in the busiest, most stressful times.
For years I struggled with food sensitivities, bloating and unexplained breakouts. I cut gluten out of my diet and lost 25 pounds, along with inflammation and indigestion. Most importantly, I felt healthier than ever and the bloating was gone. We found out I have the celiac gene and one of my children has been diagnosed. While this approach may not work for everyone, it was life-changing for me.
Where has this journey taken me?
Seven years later:
✔️ It is 100% gluten free
✔️ Created meals that healed my gut
✔️ Write a best-selling gluten-free cookbook
✔️ Trained hundreds of women through their own retreats
This trip was not about perfection. It wasn’t even just about the gluten. I finally felt like myself again — a version I didn’t even know existed.
If you’re feeling bloated, inflamed, or “off” right now…
Please listen to this:
You don’t have to wait until tomorrow to make changes. There’s no need to suffer through another holiday season feeling uncomfortable in your own skin. Just start.

A Final Note (From My Heart to Yours)
I never planned to share these photos. But if they help even one woman feel seen, understood, and hopeful — then it’s all worth it.
You deserve to feel good about your body, feel energized and confident, and you deserve a holiday season that doesn’t leave you feeling defeated.
And if I could make such a transformation during it overbear time of year… trust me — you can too
I’m cheering for you.
