HIV It has been a scourge all over the world for decades. While amazing developments have been made in its prevention and treatment, it still affects millions of people around the world and can lead to many negative health results.

But there is hope that a new drug can help many people living with this permanent situation.

HIV can be treated effectively with proper care. But first, you need to know your sexual health status. The HIV Home test kit will give you quickly, accurate test results from the comfort of your home.

What is this new medicine?

The World Health Organization (which) has released updated instructions Supporting the use of Lenacapavir, a new injectable drug as a way of helping high -risk patients.

The drug is intended to be taken as an infusion twice, acting as an additional prevention option for people who are in danger of contributing to HIV, especially in high -risk areas. Guidance recommends the use of Lenakapafir in combination with other HIV prevention drugs, such as Tenofovir disoproxil (TDF) and other pre -exhibition forms (PREP).

This new guidance was backed by two multicenter, double blind, randomized, active controlled tests.

These studies have shown that Lenakapavir has led to significant reductions in the acquisition of HIV and the high efficacy of treatment compared to other oral daily daily, such as TDF. More research is needed to know how this medicine can affect certain populations, such as sex workers, people who import drugs and imprisoned people.

Lenacapavir has not shown any negative effect when administered to pregnant people and is not associated with negative birth effects. Studies also showed no evidence that Lenakapavir had significant interactions with hormonal contraception or hormone therapy that confirmed sex.

Will it work for other STDs?

Lenacapavir was specifically designed for HIV. The data gathered during these studies found similar rates of transmission of other infections compared to other preparation recipients.

How will it be released?

The US government has announced investment plans in Lenakavari. The Foreign Ministry aims to reach up to 2 million people with the drug by 2028, in the hope that it will help save hundreds of thousands of lives. In the coming months, the US will work with the countries with the largest HIV/AIDS epidemics to develop development strategies with emphasis on prevention of mother’s transmission to a child.

This announcement comes as a benefit for many researchers and experts, who have raised concerns about recent cuts in global funding for health and research initiatives.

The US financial commitment is a partnership between the World Fund and Gilead Science, a Biofarmakis company based in California that does the drug.

For decades, the US has been the world leader in the fight against HIV. The Pepfar (Emergency Emergency Plan for AIDS’s relief) usually had strong support from all political parties. After being founded in 2003, Pepfar had invested more than $ 120 billion worldwide to help fight HIV and AIDS. It was also decisive for the development of a daily preparation pill for preventing infections.

When will the drug be available?

The supply of the development of the drug is still determined. The hope among health officials is that the drug could reach hot spots in Africa by the end of this year. However, African countries themselves must first illuminate the drug.

After the initial version of the drug is released, it will soon be a cheaper general form of the drug. Gilead Sciences shared the license for Lenakavari and information on how to reach several other manufacturers. General versions of the drug will probably not be available by 2027 due to the time required to start production and conduct.
