I first learned about project Heaven on Earth when a colleague wrote to me about a friend who was interested in meeting me but who had not received any response to his previous emails. I had not received the emails, so I asked him to write again, something he did.
After reading for project Heaven on Earth and Martin Rutte’s founder, we met for a brief conversation and it became very clear that Martin was a relative and our meeting would be the beginning of a long -term cooperation. I knew I wanted to do an interview with Martin for my podcast and I ordered his book, Project Heaven on Earth: The 3 simple questions that will help you change the world … easily.
It was a wonderful informative Interviewer you can watch here.
I will admit that I was a little postponed by the book title. The sky on earth looked a little airy and religious. I am also postponed by programs that promise simple solutions to the problems of the world. “Three simple questions that will help you change the world … easily”? Give me a break.
I felt a little better when I saw that the book’s foreword was written by Jack Canfield, a long -standing colleague who created The Chicken soup for the soul A series, which has more than 250 titles and 500 million copies in print. I soon learned that Martin had a very successful professional career in both the US and Canada.
He has worked with organizations such as the World Bank, Sony Pictures Entertainment, South California Edison, Virgin Records, Apple Computer, Esso Petroleum and London Life Insurance, helping them expand their perspectives and place for the future. He is also a co-author of the New York Times Bestseller Business Business, Chicken soup for the soul at workWith sales of over 1.1 million copies and translations in 15 languages.
In his book, Project Heaven on Earth, Martin offers a clear and honest look at the challenges we face:
“Humanity is at a crossroads, I am deeply worried about the state of our world and it hurts for the direction we have taken. The suffering of the world seems overwhelming, continue and continue – war, hunger, poverty, the threat of global economic collapse.
Martin continues to say,
“I believe that what we need to move forward to this point of our evolution is the birth of a new potential for our world – a new story of what it means to be human (a person) and what it means to be humanity (the human condition).
See how Martin describes the sky’s sky on earth:
“Project Heaven on Earth As essential: This project is something you do, something you put in your energy. It is a vehicle for aligning humanity.
“Project Heaven on Earth As a verb: project yourself, your existence, your intention, to the world to build the world of your dreams and desires. ”
Completes:
“The intention of Heaven’s project on Earth is to collectively change the current history of mankind from one that does not work for a large number of people (hunger, war, poverty, etc.) to one that works for you, me and all.”
Addressing the three questions of the project Heaven on Earth
Martin invites us to address the following three questions:
Question 1: Remember a time when you experienced heaven on earth. What was going on? Describe what happened, how it felt, how you perceived the world. What was your experience for yourself, of others, of life?
Question 2: Imagine you have a magic wand and with it you can create the sky on earth. What is heaven on earth for you? Take as much time as you need with it. Open your heart. Let your mind go. Marina in what is heaven on earth for you. What would be present, what would disappear and no longer existed and what would appear recently?
Question 3: What simple, easy, specific step (s) will you take the next 24 hours to make the sky on earth real? By making the step simple, making it one you know you can do and by doing it within 24 hours, you have begun to create the sky on earth. Take a baby step. It’s so simple.
Here are my answers to the three questions that Martin invited me to address:
Question 1: Remember a time when you experienced heaven on earth. What was going on?
Heaven on Earth started for me when I fell in love with a young woman in 1965. I was a senior senior twenty -one and was a sixteen year old in the beautiful, recently created campus at UC Santa Barbara. My beloved and talked about the kids and we agreed that we wanted to have a child and, since people already had children who needed a home with loved ones, we wanted to adopt a child.
Fast forward to Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo. After our graduation, we got married, my husband became pregnant and trained my wife through the relaxation and breathing techniques we had learned in Lamaze childhood lessons. After many hours of work, we were told that it was time for my wife to move to the delivery room. I still remember the words of the nurse.
“Okay, Mr. Diamond, your job is over now. You can go to the waiting room and we will let you know when your child arrives.”
I am sorry to have to leave at this point, but we were told the rules. Fathers are not allowed in the delivery room. I kissed my wife, I wish her well and the baby and told her I would see her soon. He was a wheelchair in one direction and I went in the other way.
But as I passed the doors of the waiting, something stopped me. I felt the call of my unborn child tell me:
“I don’t want a waiting father. Your part is here with us.”
I immediately returned and arrived at the delivery room. I came in and took my place on the head of the table as my wife started the final stages to bring our child to the world.
There was no doubt about my departure. I knew where he belonged. No hospital rule will keep me away. It didn’t take long for the final boost and our son, Jemal, was born between tears of joy and relief. Holding him for the first time, I did an oath that I would be a different father than my father was able to be for me and do everything I could to help create a world where the fathers were fully engaged with their families throughout their lives. Two and a half years later, we adopted a two -month -old African -American little girl who we called Angela.
For me, this experience of heaven on earth began with the magic of love, who opened our hearts to want to share this love with a child we gave birth to and with a child who needed a beloved family. Culminated in the spirit of our son who will be born soon Break the rules At the service of love and connection and get out of our comfort zone to find and adopt our beautiful daughter.
Question 2: Imagine you have a magic wand and with it you can create the sky on earth. What is heaven on earth for you?
For me, the sky on earth is a world of fathers who are fully healed and connected to themselves, their families, the community of life on planet Earth.
In my book, The Journey of the Warrior: Treating men who cure the planet I mentioned my friend and colleague Sam Keen, writer of Fire in the belly: When you are a man,
“The radical vision of the future is based on the belief that the logic that determines either our survival or our destruction is simple:
- The new human contact is to heal the earth.
- We can only heal what we love.
- We can only love what we know.
- We can only know what we are touching. ”
The sky on earth is the end of the war, as we know a new kind of warrior. In The journey of warrior home, I mentioned the Buddhist meditation of Master Chögyam Trungpa.
“The warrior here is not referring to war on others. Aggression is the source of our problems, not the solution. Here the word ‘warrior’ is taken by Tibet struggle which literally means “someone who is brave”. The war position in this context is the tradition of human bravery or the tradition of fearless. “Trungpa concludes, saying,” War is not afraid who you are. “
Question 3: What simple, easy, specific step (s) will you take the next 24 hours to make the sky on earth real?
I will share the answers to these three questions with Martin Rutte and continue to explore ways to work together to bring the sky to earth for everyone.
