I work in the men’s health since 1969. My work was largely expanded in 1997 after the publication of my fourth book, Male menopause, who soon became an international best seller translated into seventeen foreign languages. In the book I have defined the male “change of life” in this way:

“Male menopathy (also called male or manopapa) begins with hormonal, physiological and chemical changes that occur in all people in general between the ages of forty and fifty -five, although it can happen as early five or five.

I went to say,

“The purpose of male menopause is to mark the end of the first part of a man’s life and to prepare him for the second half.

I mentioned the following symptoms I had seen all these years with the customers I encountered. Most common natural symptoms include:

  • Less strength for physical activity
  • Taking more time to recover from injuries and illness
  • Weight gain
  • Loss of skin tone

Common psychological symptoms include:

  • Irritability
  • Worry
  • Depression
  • Loss of purpose and direction in life

Common sexual symptoms include:

  • Erection
  • Low libido and interest in sex
  • Increased anxiety and fear of sexual changes
  • Increased fantasies of sex outside the primary relationship

I discussed the impact of hormonal changes for men passing through this life passage.

“Diminished levels of hormones in middle life are central to the changes associated with male menopause, although hormones tend to decrease with age, each person is unique and individual levels vary widely.

We also analyzed the first experiences with testosterone replacement treatments (TRT) and some of the concerns about its use.

“While clinical doctors in the US discussed the dangers and benefits of TRT, British doctors had already begun to use hormones to cure men who showed symptoms of testosterone deficiency.”

Over the years, there is still a dispute over the use of TRT in men’s treatment. However, testosterone is still widely prescribed for millions of men. I recently wrote about a new company, the health of Gameday men, which is rapidly expanding with new clinics across the country. Says their founder, Evan Miller, Phd,

“Focusing on all our energy on providing the treatment of testosterone premium, removing the stigma around erectile dysfunction and much more, we ensure that our customers’ experience is relaxing, fast and most importantly, offers results.”

Acesis Biomed: Revolutionary Treatment of Low T and other health problems

I recently learned about a new company, Acesis Biomed, adopting a different approach to treating low testosterone in men. Acesis Biomed was founded by Dr. Vassilios Papadopoulos and Dr. Costas N. Karatzas.

Dr. Papadopoulos is a dean of the University of Southern California Alfred Mann Mann Mann School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences. He holds the John Stauffer Decanal chair in the pharmaceutical sciences and is a professor of pharmacology and pharmaceuticals and medicine in USC. Prior to joining the USC, Dr. Papadopoulos served as Executive Director and Chief Scientific Officer of the McGill University Health Center in Montreal, Canada.

Dr. Karatzas is CEO of Acesis and has over 35 years of experience in the science of life in the public, private and academic sectors. Attended McGill University, where he won Ph.D., in Molecular Biology. It has over fifty versions of peer and is inventor with 18 patents. From 2009 to 2021 he was the Director of Business Development and Contracts at the McGill University Health Center Institute of Health Center, Montreal, Canada.

I recently had the opportunity to talk to Dr. Papadopoulos and Carats for their company and their new approach to help men with low T. I was told,

“Millions of men suffer from low testosterone (T), which lead to a reduced quality of life. Acesis Biomed pioneer is a first in the class, patented, oral treatment that restores physical production of the body-without synthetic hormones.”

From my experience with middle life men and their families for more than fifty years, I think this is a monumental discovery of what will be offered to men. Until now, men experiencing low testosterone symptoms were limited to taking testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Now, for the first time, Acesis Biomed offers a therapeutic approach that helps men to restore their testosterone levels through a potentially safer and more natural approach by causing testicles to produce testosterone.

“Our vision is to unlock the body’s ability to restore testosterone, instead of using external steroids, defining a new approach to men’s well -being,” they told me.

Continue by stating:

“What if a pill could help millions of men feel again – without needles, patches, gels or synthetic hormones? At Acesis, we are on a mission to transform the way in which low t or deficiency is treated.“

Dr. Karatzas stated that,

“Our only solution has its roots in science, developed by Dr. Papadopoulos.

I was told that they want to be sure that when this new drug is available, it is safe and has undergone the necessary clinical trials and regulatory testing.

“Our current goal is to complete our preclinical program and move to the first -time clinical trial to people with low testosterone, also known as male hypogonadism.”

As a leader in the field of Men’s Special Medicine and Health Medicine I am excited to continue learning more about the pioneering work that DRS. Papadopoulos and Carats do.

The gender -specific field is relatively new. My colleague, Marianne J. Legato, MD founded the foundation for the gender -specific drug in 1999. In her book, The Rib of Eve: The new science of gender medical medicine and how can save your life, Says,

“Until now, we have acted as men and women to be essentially identical, in addition to the differences in their reproductive function. In fact, the information we have gathered over the last ten years tells us that this is only true and everywhere, the two sexes are initially and unexpectedly not only in their normal way.

Dr. Legato has told me many times that there is a great need for new approaches to help men. In her book, Why men die first: How to lengthen your life spansays,

“Despite the important opportunities and advantages that most societies provide to men, they remain shockingly vulnerable to many levels. The researchers have largely ignored the phenomenon, with tragic consequences. Simply put, he never turned into a gender -specific lens in men. We haven’t thought enough – if it’s at all – about why they are uniquely prone to disability and premature death. ”

It is time for men to get the recognition worth. I will keep my readers published in these innovations and I look forward to hearing more than Dr. Vassilios Papadopoulos and Dr. Costas N. Karatzas in the future. You can find out more about Acesis Biomed and their work to turn men’s health with their visit Website here.
