Before joining OBN, Lucie spent 10 years of working in luxury marketing. As a senior manager in an important beauty company, her journey into the world of baby nutrition and entrepreneurship began when navigating the initial solids with her son. Determined to find clarity not only for herself but also for other parents, she enrolled in OBN, gaining confidence and knowledge to combine diet based on evidence with real life, flexible approaches to the nutrition of the young.

Lucie then started Bébé foodieA supportive and without crisis platform dedicated to the start of solids. Lucie created a welcoming space that enables parents to feel up to date, calm and confident during this transition. Its mission is clear: to help families build healthy, happy meal habits without pressure or perfectionism.

After completing your certification with Oh Baby, what was the first step you took to start turning the idea of Bébé Foodie to something real?

The Oh Baby program was such an important foundation. He gave me the education and trust that I had to start creating content with intent and reliability. Immediately after receiving my certification in July 2021, I made a bold move: I left my full -time work (my son had just turned one!) And focused all my energy on shaping the brand’s DNA I envisioned. I spent months by doing things in order, taking time to understand the market, research real parents and carefully determine the tone and values I wanted Bébé foodie to incorporate.

By March 2022, the first version of the site was alive. I created content, brands connection and slowly building an expert to back up the platform. Looking back, taking the time to get things right – instead of rushing – made all the difference.

How does the idea of creating Bébé Foodie come to life? Was there a certain moment or challenge that caused it?

We have to go back in 2019, when I first discovered that I was pregnant. At that time, I was working in the beauty industry, but I knew I was longing for something more important. I liked diet and writing, but I still didn’t know how everything would meet.

Then came all the conversations, friends who were already parents who shared their experiences and food came again and again. How stressful he felt, how much pressure were to do things “right,” How overwhelming all contradictory information could be. Then I began to imagine the first seeds of Bébé Foodie, maybe it would be a blog, a lesson or a service to support parents.

And then … I had my son. I guess the introduction of solids would be easy for me, I like cooking and I had all that nutrition knowledge. But I quickly realized how much time I spent myself. I was constantly rolling for answers before even serving a carrot. And the pressure! “Don’t use a Sippy Cup”, “Don’t offer dense”, “Avoid this food …” It’s not strange that parents stress.

Then the idea really did. What will happen if there was a platform that we simplified everything, Giving parents the right information at the right time, based on their baby’s age and their Lifestyle? A space without guilt that embraced different styles of parental care, no judgment or pressure. I wanted to feel like a supportive hand, not another set of rules.

This vision became my obsession. I subscribe to the Oh Baby program, built the site, arrived at experts and step by step, Bébé Foodie became real.

How did the business owner become and the applications have changed your daily life, especially as a mother?

Oh, I could say so much here! There have been doubts, guilt and moments of burning, and I still experience them. But a huge benefit was flexibility. I am no longer connected to a 9 to 5 program, so I can be present for the milestones of my children while building something I believe in.

This is saying, when you build a business, especially in its early stages, there is no real separation between work and life. The lines blur. I have felt guilty not to work hard enough, then guilty to work too much. You can learn (late!) To find a rhythm that works for your family.

Because my work revolves around parental care, I am constantly immersed in issues that matter personally. I have met so many incredible parents and experts along the way, and that was deeply rewarding.

Two moments stand out:

  • When I was solving solid to my first child, I was fully on maternity leave. I searched everything from scratch, followed all the “rules” and really enjoyed it.

  • With my daughter, I was deeply building the app. Breastfeeding was harshAnd when it’s time to start solid, I just had time to cook. I leaned into children’s foods purchased from the store and the simplest choices. I felt guilty, but then I reminded that that this It’s the message I share with parents: there is no “perfect” way. Life does not always fit the ideal scenario, and that’s okay.

Today, both of my children are wonderful eaters. And this is the lesson: this is not cooking elaborate meals or the import of 100 foods in the first three months. So many things are shaping a child’s relationship with food. And most of them are not visible on Instagram.
