These easy sushi wrappers come together in less than 15 minutes – prepare the rice ahead of time! A fun, made dinner that is full of sweet, spicy taste and family -run magic.

This may be my favorite 15 -minute recipe. Why? Because I was completely cheated … and it was still acting as a charm.

Here is the deal: sticky rice lasts more than 15 minutes. But when you prepare it in advance (I make a big batch at the weekend!), These sushi wrappers meet in a matter of minutes. No stove, no stress. Only a handful of delicious garnish, a quick spicy magician and boom -dinner served.

These easy sushi wrappers come together in less than 15 minutes – prepare the rice ahead of time! A fun, made dinner that is full of sweet, spicy taste and family -run magic.

And honestly? My children are obsessed. Like, “Mom, we don’t want pasta again – we want the sushi to wrap!” obsessed.

Why will you love these easy sushi wrappers

  • Hands-on & Fun: Everyone is building their own – without complaints, without disruption.
  • Completely customizable: Choose your protein, your fills, your spice level.
  • Dietary: Full of iron, healthy fats, proteins and fibers.
  • No cooking is required: Just prepare and assemble. (No, really.)
  • Victory with family style: A perfect entry point if you are young in family -run meals!
The various ingredients of sushi sushi sushi, including sliced cucumber, mango, avocado, rice cups, fish, sauce, sesame seeds and Nori leaves on a white surface.

Ingredients you will need

For sushi wrappers

  • Cooked sticky rice (make ahead!)
  • A variety of fish (such as smoked salmon, cooked salmon or tuna warehouse)
  • Nori Sheets
  • Mango (fresh or frozen frozen)
  • Avocado
  • Cucumber
  • Sesame

For the spicy magician

  • Mayonnaise
  • Sriracha or your favorite hot sauce

How to make a family -type sushi sushi (step by step)

Step 1: If you don’t already have, cook your sticky rice and let it cool (or better yet, do it at night before and open it in the fridge!).

A flat position of sushi ingredients, such as rice, Nori leaves, mango, avocado, cucumber, sesame seeds, Sriracha seeds, raw fish and smoked fish on a white surface.

Step 2: Cut the mango, avocado and cucumber into thin strips. Gather your fish, Nori and sesame leaves.

Ingredients for sushi wrap that are arranged on a table: avocado slices, mango, cucumber, nori leaves, spicy magician, sushi rice, sesame seeds, raw fish, smoked fish and smoked salmon.

Step 4: Place everything on the table and let everyone build their own wrappers. It’s basically night sushi without roller pressure!

A nori sushi wrapper with rice, rice, cucumber, avocado, mango, imitation crabs, spicy knife and sausage, served with spicy and sesame seeds.

Do you want to try your hand on a full sushi roll? Here is:

How to roll a sushi wrapper (optional!)

  1. Place your Nori sheet shiny side down. (A parchment sheet of underneath helps!)
  2. Spread a generous ¾ cup rice evenly over the Nori, leaving a few inches bare at the top.
  3. Add your fills to a fine line along the rice.
  4. Wet your finger and run it along the naked edge of Nori to help it seal.
  5. Tight scroll in a log. Seal the edge with a little more water.
  6. Cut in half and enjoy!
A sushi roll cut in half sits on a wooden cutting boat next to a large knife, with a bowl of sesame seeds and a bowl of sinking sauce.

Not in rolling? No problem – just throw everything in a bowl and call it a bowl of sushi. Still delicious. Still fun.

Tips from a diet mama

What kind of fish can I use?

Anything you love and have salmon, cooked salmon, canned tone or tone from the store (I get mine in the costco!).

Can I do this vegetarian?

Completely! Try the tofu strips, edamame, or even fresh slices of sweet potato for a vegetable twist.

My kids aren’t in algae … help?

Try cutting the Nori into strips and serving them on top like a garnish – or let them skip it and throw everything in a bowl. It’s all right.

For what age is it appropriate for?

This is ideal for children who are at least 4+, but younger ones can enjoy a depressed bowl version. Just skip the spicy magician for the little ones and serve with soy sauce.

Why family -type meals just work

As a dietitian and mom, I can’t advertise enough family meals. When children can serve themselves, they feel more controlled. It creates confidence, encourages exploration and can severely reduce the anxiety of meal. Win-win.
