Sharing some of our favorite Barcelona adventures.

Hi friends! What are you doing? I hope your week starts an amazing start! We are here in Seville enjoying beautiful sights, shopping, delicious food and some tourist things. It was the perfect combination of activities and cooling time. I hope your summer is going well so far.

For today’s post, I wanted to share some Barcelona + adventures where we were left if you are planning to book for a trip. We were able to spend a few nights before and after Disney’s cruise and we fell in love with Barcelona. Of course it has the beautiful blend of architecture, from Gaudi’s iconic designs in more modern style, Gothic cathedrals and Roman ruins. It also has the feeling of a giant city (because it’s a lol) with soooo a lot of things to see and do. We could easily spend a few weeks there, and here are some of the main points of our trip.

Barcelona adventures

Food in Barcelona

Food in Barcelona is 100%. I put it there with Rome and we were inflated by so many of the restaurants we tried. They use many fresh ingredients and produce, they are well -made, the sections are perfect (especially if you like sharing) and allergens are often clearly marked.

Prado de Flores

This was our first meal in Barcelona and definitely put us on the right foot. I was longing for a tinto de verano (red wine with Citrus spritzer, such as a sangria but less sweet) and Spanish tortilla. The girls and I shared several different things: chicken skewers, Greek salad, sardines and tortilla. P also got a burger and was perfection.

Gluten -free

I have a whole place about this experience, but we had the opportunity to try six different points with gluten -free tones. I never had a croissant filled with Nutella and put my soul freeeeeee. This was probably on the list of top 10 best things I’ve ever eaten. Barcelona has so many gluten -free choices and gluten -free kitchens. Our guide told us that it is one of the best places to travel and live if you have celiac disease or are sensitive to gluten/intolerance.

Bloome from Sasha

It is a completely gluten brunch with pancakes, avocado toast, cups and pastries, using organic and fresh ingredients. I would eat here weekly if we lived in Barcelona. They have some locations, so if you are planning a visit, I definitely recommend checking it.

Lokal bar

This was close to our hotel and had excellent reviews and Spanish tortilla on the menu – I was on a mission to find the best haha - and we went and shared a beam of a night. Tortilla had truffle oil (OMMGGG) and the cheese platter was excellent.

Roots & rolls

One of the most important points of our trip was to see my girlfriend Sara! We used to teach at Canyon Ranch and stayed in contact despite movements across the country. OG Blog Reader Friends would recognize her from Soli Beat Video, blog training videos and summer! It is absolutely amazing – one of the most positive people I know and like every chance to cover.

We met with her husband for a stunning vegan sushi, gluten -free options, Ramen, Pad Thai, etc. The food was excellent and the company was the best part 🙂

If you live in Barcelona or visit, he holds the first assistant stretch studio in Spain: Stretch Eden.

Barcelona hotel recommendations

We stayed in two different hotels in Barcelona: Royal Ramblas before the cruise, and Carla’s comrade after the cruise.

(Had the hotel’s gym in myself)

It was cute because it was the girls and myself, so we ended up with each having our own little bed at every point. It is worth noting here that I almost always kept our hotels for free using credit card points. We use Amex Platinum for everything, and it gives us so many privileges, such as access to the living room, shopping credits, places for daily markets, the credits for their collection for their nice hotels, the Uber – I loooove credits this thing. If you are interested in getting one, My referral link is here And I’m glad to help with any questions! More on how we use points for traveling in this post.

Activities

There are many different tours and places to visit Barcelona, such as the famous Boquat de Mercaria, La Sagrada Familia, tones of museums and beautiful beaches. I would like to have a museum day, but the kids were toast after the cruise. (I’m a little bummed to miss the Sagrada Familia tour, but we will definitely come back!) We bought, we visited some different markets. We explored the exterior of Sagrada Familia,

And he arrived at the white rabbit museum, which was a huge blow.

The white rabbit combines Catalan culture with impressive experiences, including projection rooms, virtual reality, lights and sculptures. If you have children and travel to Barcelona, I highly recommend it.

Is Barcelona safe?

Our cabin guide warned us about the protrusions and told us which areas to avoid, but I never felt insecure while we were there. I felt much safer than in many parts of the United States and I think anything is to know your environment and stay where other people around. Stay in well -lit and quite densely populated areas, you know where you go and hold your belongings near you. (I wear this easy -to -use Amazon bag all this trip.)

The purpose of this exploration trip we have

I went on this trip with the intention of spending quality time with the kids, watching new places and taking some time to recharge fully after a pretty exhausting start by 2025. I also started this journey looking for … a place to live. I felt I could have clarity with * a perfect point * and Barcelona was the closest. It has the big city that they feel we love (tons of shopping, convenient, so many gluten -free choices and fantastic food), but with smaller charming neighborhood pockets. We especially liked the Grácia neighborhood. I don’t know if we’ll really do more than Tucson, but we look at different choices and keep our eyes open. 🙂

Have you been to Barcelona? What is your #1 favorite place to travel in summer?

Xoxo
