As the nutrition network begins its innovative Vocational training in sugar and carbohydrate addictionThe focus turns inward – to the powerful, live experiences of two women who have struggled and overcome the addiction handles in sugar. Their stories not only illuminate the harsh realities of this degraded situation but also emphasize the urgent need for clinical evidence -based addiction.

What addiction to sugar Really Looks: Two women, one truth

Tia reid and Åsa pääjärviBoth now, in long -term recovery, are openly talking about their struggle for decades with sugar and carbohydrate addiction. Their experiences offer a critical picture of what sugar addiction looks under the surface and why it requires much more than the will to overcome.

Wired for Addiction: Starts in childhood

Addiction did not start in adulthood. Both women identify the dependence on sugar back to early childhood. Tia remembers sliding orange slices at the age of five. For Åsa, the juice of sugar berries was more attractive than solid food at the age of two. These were the first signs of a neurochemical dependencynot just a sweet tooth.

“It was like my brain had made a six -lane highway for addiction since I was a teenager.” – Åsa

What followed was a development in multiple addictions of nicotine, alcohol, excessive work presented by a classic case Addiction Disorder. This disorder is now recognized in the top diagnostic manuals including DSM-5 and ICD-11.

Sugar addiction is a brain -based disorder

TIA’s health began to deteriorate quickly. Was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, oily liver disease, hypertension, depression, sleep apnea and adrenal deficiency. Her body was in crisis and her spirit followed.

Åsa described the experience as fully undertaken:

“I ate myself to sleep.”

Recovery periods have always been temporary. Addiction would be transformed by food into alcohol into excessive work. The message is clear: Addiction to sugar is not a character defect, but a chronic state of the brain.

Turn: Name of problem

For Tia, the discovery came with Dr. Robert Cywes, who recognized her status as carbohydrate addiction. This diagnosis eventually brought relief, a name for what is fighting.

Åsa’s life began to change when he met Jonsson jerkAn internationally recognized sugar addiction expert. For the first time, someone said, “It’s not your fault. Your brain is different.”

Restoration tools that really work

Both women found freedom through a multifaceted recovery plan:

  • Total abstinence by trigger food
  • Diets with a high fat, low carbohydrate, low -fat content focused on diet of proteins and animals
  • Snackrecognizing it as emotional food
  • Strong Support Systems (Training, peer teams, electronic check-in)
  • Biochemical repairincluding supplements and sleep hygiene
  • Daily reintegration In the recovery plan

“You can’t do it alone, you need a food plan. Need help. You need your team.” – Åsa

Where it is now

TIA now works as Certified Health Coachhelping others understand their own sugar addiction. For many years in recovery, Åsa continues to train and support worldwide addiction. Nor does he claim to be “healed”, but both live in a sustainable recovery.

Why the training of the nutrition network matters

Tia now chooses as part of the new Nutrition Network Vocational training in sugar addiction. Plan from real -life experiences, this three -level training Includes:

Whether you are a coach, a clinician, or someone who struggles with yourself with sugar, this training gives you the tools to recognize, screen, diagnose and cure addiction in sugar accurately and compassion.

A message for both professionals and addicts

This blog is for everyone: the exhausted mother who hides the chocolate in her drawer, the doctor who prescribes more insulin without understanding why the patient continues to gain weight, the teenager is confused by their constant desires.

If you are a professional, this education will transform how you treat chronic illness, obesity and mental health. If you are dependent, you know this: You’re not broken. You’re not alone. There is a way out.
