Are you thinking a trip to Disneyland? Today I will give you 5 easy steps to plan a trip to the happiest place on Earth (which should leave you happy and not confused or unhappy with the journey you are planning). It’s not really difficult if you follow some basic tips.

Disneyland Castle / 5 Easy Steps to Plan Disneyland Advice

Before starting, grab the calculation of my trip so you can know all the costs (because we are not here for Disney’s bad surprises):

Selected picture

Step 1: What is your budget?

This is the most important step. I feel that some people believe that a Disneyland trip can be scheduled for a few hundred dollars and while this may have been when we were younger, this is not the case now.

I have a lot of positions in your Disneyland budget (because I think it’s one of the biggest issues with Disneyland Trip Planning). I will connect them here so you can find out more about what to expect:

And, if you are also considering Disney World …. Disney World for the budget: Stretching your dollar for Disney Days fun

I think it’s really important to be honest with yourself for how much this trip will cost and be honest if you expect a year (or two) to get this big holiday can eventually make it more fun (as you save a little more).

I’m not saying that you can’t scrimp and save Disneyland – but there are expenses related to it and will market you (and your children) at every step along the road. It’s good to know.

Step #2: When and how long will you stay?

Your next step (honestly, often in groups to decide your budget) is how long You will stay when you go.

First of all – how long will you stay?

You will often see that a “5-day trip is cheaper than a 3 day trip”-and that means a 5-day ticket is cheaper per day from a 3 -day ticket. Every day you add to your ticket saves pricing per day. However, you must remember that each day also includes more:

  • Accommodation
  • Transfer to parks (not a big deal if you walk – though your legs may start to hate you)
  • Food in parks
  • More time for souvenirs

It also allows more relaxation in the pool, less first days. It just depends on what you want and how you want to invoice things.

A bigger trip, with a hotel farther away can be what you want.

Or, a shorter trip with a hotel near the parks (as it is more expensive) can only be the ticket for you.

Each family is different and each choice will be different.

And now, when to leave?

Many families have specific dates in mind, but sometimes you have a mosquito room. You can check if there is a change of price (or weather change) depending on when you want to go.

Here are some more posts on this topic that you can find useful:

Step #3: How to get there?

Okay, now you need to understand how to get there. I think most families fly, but if you’re not too far away, you can drive.

If you need to drive, I recommend that you use it AAA Gas PC This calculates it for you.

If you fly, I recommend the long beach of John Wayne Airport, though you can also use LAX. It is much larger and farther away. Long Beach is about 35 minutes away and John Wayne can be closer to 25? I tend to just fly to who is closest. John Wayne is a bit cheaper for a Uber ride, so although both are very similar, you choose John Wayne.

I usually fly to the use of Southwest Airlines << and I wish I had taken their credit card first time I threw with them. I would have so many miles.

And some more Disney Travel Planning Tips:

Step #4: Where to stay?

Okay, this is a big one, because the wrong stay can leave you in a tone of traffic in the mornings or give you this gross feeling you get from bad beds ….

I have always used to escape today to close my trips to Disneyland. I can trust that if I book with them I take a room that will be safe for me and my family.

For us, as we are bigger and maybe we have a little more money to spend, we like to stay close to the parks.

But there is a ton of different choices out there, here are some of my favorite hotels with specific privileges:

Take your home in a row and recover your space with organized home

But, I share my top Disneyland hotels here.

Step #5: Schedule your days

Okay – bad news is that Disneyland requires some travel plan.

I think it is important to know what walks are the most popular so you can decide to skip them or take them early in the day (or take a strip of lightning for them). Disneyland Day programmer will help:

Selected picture

If you are going to use Lightning Lane, 100% suggests that you make sure you understand how the system works – as I connect before, this suspension gives you the basics without flooding you.

Disneyland is not a park in which you can simply walk without a real game plan, unless you are exactly there to enjoy the park and some walks. If this is the case, you box Do that. Only most people do not.

If you are not in the first days to get more in, then I could recommend somewhere like Dollywood or a Six Flags Park ….

I think it’s good to know that this is not likely to be that relaxing Holidays you may want. It will be a lot of fun, but also a lot to control things on your phone, walking and some scheduled front.

I think it’s one of the best ways to have a good time with your family of many ages.

Do you have more questions about designing a Disneyland trip? Tell us in the comments and I will try to help! These were the basics, but I have a lot more tips where that came!

My hotels for your Disneyland trip:
– Best Western Park Place – is the Closest hotelIt has breakfast and if available for your dates, close it. If not, see the Trikana.
– Beard – This is my favorite with a Excellent point of honor For larger groups – it has a water park and free breakfast (not Walkable) – but if you want a walkable suite check out Castle
