Women’s president Namita Nayyar attracts Courtnae Paul, a highly talented South African dancer, her multifaceted personality and excellent success here, talks about gymnastics routine, her diet and her success.
Namita Nayyar:
Born in Durban in South Africa and where did you have your early training? Breakdancing or breaking, also called B-Girling, is a street dance style coming from African Americans and Puerto Ricus in the Bronx. Breaking is the only new sport at the Paris Olympics in 2024. During your early childhood at Lively Family, it gathers with your sisters who performed improvised performances such as song and dance. This later pushed your career at the height where you are a top South African dancer and become four times champion of South Africa. Tell us more about your business journey of excellent hard work, endurance and endurance?
Courtnae Paul:
Growing up, my house was always full of music and laughter. My family knew how to have a good time! While I didn’t get into the dance and broke to my teenagers, I was always a sporty kid. I played team sports such as football and netball, and individual sports such as gymnastics, kickboxing and sports. I often joke that this eclectic blend of interest has shaped me on the switch and the athlete I am today.
My business journey started when I was 15 years old at Northlands Girls High. I aim for a hearing call for a Bollywood show on Sun Coast Casino, and despite the fact that he has no formal training or experience. I decided to do it. To my surprise, I landed the job and even went out as a choreographer and soloist. This was my first taste of thinking on my feet and I live calm under pressure.
Fast forward to the present day, and my journey remains true to its roots. As a woman switch in an industry dominated by men, I have faced my share of my challenges. But what we lack structure and recognition, we resist our passion and perseverance.
People often assume that the entertainment industry is shiny and effortless, but the reality is far from it. Behind the scenes, it is hard work, dedication and willingness to take risks. Despite the challenges, my love for dancing, sports and culture becomes only stronger. I feel a deep responsibility to return to the culture that gave me so much and to open the way as much as I can for the next generation.
