Oily liver disease- five things you need to know

Having just revised a fascinating report on the connection between greasy liver disease and cardiovascular disease presented by the American Heart AssociationI wanted to offer some of the very important estimates described as related to adipose hepatic disease therapy.

There is a minimal question of the fact that possession of a greasy liver, if you do nothing about it, will increase the chance of having significant heart health problems as you grow older.

Not to mention the fact that Oily liver disease is known to accelerate the aging of the brain And it is a great factor in the tired time feeling, which affects the huge tax on your quality of life.

The answer is clear – work with a professional to fight.

Here are some of the reasons why this matters:

#1 oily liver disease is everywhere

More than 1 in 4 adults have a greasy liver worldwide and the condition is rapidly increasing as the metabolic tendencies of the average person downwards.

Many people who have a greasy liver are non -diagnosed, but the higher your triglycerides levels and the GGT (hepatic enzyme) is – the more likely you have.

#2 Hepatic enzymes ALT/AST are not so useful

Many people with whom I work above are based on the liver enzymes ALT/AST as prognostic factors of liver health – but the reality is that you can have a fatty liver without these enzymes being high.

Similarly, you can have the situation and reverse it completely and your liver enzymes may remain high for one year or more because they do not always respond quickly to changes in nutrition and lifestyle.

The most effective and widely accessible way to measure the liver and scarf content is via a device called Fibroscan – Ontario residents involved in the fatty liver training program have access to this imaging test at a reduced cost through a corporate relationship of clinic I have formed.

A ultrasound is the next best thing but provides much less information.

#3 Special Metabolic Factors cause NAFLD

Insulin resistance is the most universal feature of oily liver disease and exists in almost any case.

Whether one has a higher weight or not with other metabolic health challenges, the presence of insulin resistance is a huge risk factor.

In addition to insulin resistance the three big things to look out for are:

  • Low hdl
  • High triglycerides
  • High Apob

For my customers who are unable to access a fibroscan, our primary goal is to improve these three measurements because they predict more the direction of your liver and your metabolic health.

Nutrition science is strong and can be applied to this task if we have a person who is ready to make the necessary changes.

Other estimates such as A1C and fasting blood sugar are also goals that we can hit if the person has diabetes pre -type 2 alongside Nafld.

#4 Changing your diet and lifestyle is the only solution

Let me start by saying that there are plenty of scientific evidence (including my customers) that you can reverse adipose liver disease without significant weight loss.

Weight loss is not a unique indicator of success for reversing adipose liver disease, all the indicators discussed above are.

That is why weight loss medications or other medicinal products are not likely to be enough to reverse your liver’s fatae fat.

The reality is that greasy liver disease is also caused by bowel germ imbalances, dysfunctional mitochondria, excessive inflammation and much more.

There will never be a pill that can deal with all these factors.

Taking this, many people with a greasy liver come to me with a secondary goal of losing weight and I am fully capable of creating a diet strategy to host this goal, but I do not want anyone to believe it is the most important result in their course to reversal of fatty liver disease.

Here it counts more:

  • Dietary modification*
  • More physical activity
  • Strategic use of supplements
  • Reduction of alcohol

Exactly how each of the above comes to life will differ from person to person, so this is the collaboration with a professional who can clean a strategy specifically for you is so important.

#5 There is no single “best” diet for oily liver disease

There are, of course, specific families of food and specific compounds in foods that science has proven to be very good for liver health.

The fact is, however, everyone is just so different in the food they enjoy and are willing to eat on a regular basis.

This means that the best nutrition and the best supplements for adipose liver disease vary significantly from person to person depending on their individual characteristics.
