Drink your way to a happy and healthy holiday season!

It is not a bad idea to consume fewer total drinks during this holiday season. In fact, it makes sense, given the most recent research. We learn that less and less alcohol is better for you. However, there is also an urgent science that suggests that concentration with friends and family is of increasing importance.

It is a balance for encouraging community and concentration while minimizing alcohol. Our answer is: drink something, but not alcohol all the time. Drink your way to a happy and healthy holiday season!

To get into the spirit mocktail

It is a pleasure to lift a glass to feel good, to treat your body properly, to get better sleep and to hit the layoffs. Zero mocktails satisfy hankserings for a festive seasonal drink, while ensuring that you stay clean.

I have tried different non -alcoholic festive drinks through the seasons using a variety of different flavors. Here are some of our collective favorite in Healthy Nest Nutrition.

These zero -alcohol festive drinks are a great way to find this balance and celebrate the season.

Virgo

An excellent cocktail refresh! I had this at a party last weekend and it was so beautiful and tasty, we didn’t even lose tequila. Just mix the soda club + grapefruit juice with a slice of lime and serve over ice. You may lose half the glass with salt or pour a sprig of rosemary or thyme to imagine it.

Pineapple-ginger Spritz

Give your Mocktail vacation a seaside twist while slipping into a jack-firing ginger and lemon. Pour the rigid Seltzer Water or Soda Club over the ice and mix the pineapple juice, grated ginger and a compression of fresh lemon. Garnish with pineapple wedge or lemon slice. (Borrowing this idea from true food).

Hot Toddy (of species)

It is a comforting cup that satisfies the desire for a hot sting in a cold winter night. Disconnect your favorite tea and pour a box of fresh ginger and a squeeze of lemon. If you are longing for something sweet, add a spoonful of honey or natural maple syrup. It’s delicious!

Holidays for a crowd

This is built for a party and perfect for all ages. Mix the following in one pitcher: the juice of 3 to 4 fresh blood oranges, 1 cup of fresh orange juice, 1 freshly cut grapefruit, 1 freshly compressed lemon, ½ cup agave and a cinnamon shake. Pour over ice on glasses and top with a dip ginger beer or seltzer water. Garnish with whole crankshafts and pomegranate seeds.

Why not cocktails? Here’s a little renewal.

If you need why on mocktails – alcohol runs out the body. It is dehydrated, contains added calories and mixers with chemicals (think jack and coke), prevents digestion and generally makes us feel bad.

Mocktails give us:

1. Hydration: Proper hydration supports digestion, skin health, cognitive function and overall well -being.

2. Fewer calories: Many mocktails are lower in calories than alcoholic beverages, especially when made with fresh fruit and natural sweeteners (such as honey or agave).

3. Vitamins and antioxidants: Ingredients such as citrus fruits, berries and herbs such as mint and basil are full of vitamins and antioxidants that can help enhance the immune system, fight free radicals and improve skin health.

4. Improved digestion: Ingredients such as ginger, mint and lemon are often used in mocktails, helping to soothe nausea, reduce bloating and support bowel health.

5. Blood sugar adjustment: Ingredients such as fresh fruit, coconut water and herbs can help regulate blood sugar levels, add fiber + vitamins.

6. Support for intellectual clarity: Mocktails can offer the relaxation of a festive drink without the risk of decision -making or cognitive operation.

7. Best sleep: Unlike alcohol, which can disrupt sleep patterns, soothing mocktails made with ingredients such as chamomile or lavender can help us relax without causing sleep disorders.

8. Happy feelings: Drinking a good for the delicious drink makes you happy without all the luggage and the sadness of the next day for the drink.
