Gypsy-Rose Blanchard is embracing her journey to motherhood as she celebrates the upcoming arrival of her daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, with a whimsical Disney-themed baby shower surrounded by loved ones.

Short summary:

  • Gypsy-Rose announced her baby girl’s name during a joyous baby shower in Louisiana.
  • Guests enjoyed delectable treats, games and candid moments at the celebration.
  • The couple focuses on parenthood as they navigate their rekindled relationship.

Entering a bright new chapter in her life, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, 33, is looking forward to the arrival of her first child with boyfriend Ken Urker. On Nov. 16, Blanchard celebrated with a charming Disney-themed baby shower where she officially revealed her daughter’s name: Aurora Raina Urker. Gypsy, a Disney fan, cleverly chose the name, which pays homage to the beloved princess from “Sleeping Beauty,” also known as Briar Rose.

In an exclusive chat with PEOPLEBlanchard expressed her delight at the event:

“Ken and I were so excited to have a beautiful celebration that our daughter Aurora Raina Urker can look back on and see how our community welcomed and embraced her with love. She will be supported and given all the happiness a child should experience.”

she said, pointing to her hopes for a nurturing environment for her little one.

The baby shower was held at LARC’s Acadian Village in Lafayette, Louisiana, with about 25 guests, including family and friends. The day was filled with delectable culinary delights crafted by the talented Chef Rusty of Rusty’s Seasoning. Attendees indulged in pink-and-white dipped Oreos, chocolate pretzel sticks, and a gorgeous array of Sugar Mama designer cookie cookies, some of which even featured a cute illustration of her baby’s 4D ultrasound images.

Blanchard, who wore a stunning pink Babydoll dress from Show Me Your Mumu, kept on theme with the color scheme of her celebration. She expressed her gratitude on social media saying:

SPECIAL THANK YOU: I wanted to take the time to give a huge thank you to all of the incredible vendors who made my LARC’s Acadian Village baby shower truly magical!

The celebratory occasion also included casual games, with one of the most memorable involving attendees trying to estimate the size of Blanchard’s baby using yarn. Reflecting on the fun, he shared:

“It was very funny”

proving that laughter and camaraderie were at the heart of the gathering.

Among the favorite gifts was a special piece of art created by Rebecca Brewer Rivers, an artist close to Blanchard’s circle of friends. Gypsy loved the piece, describing it as made of heartbeat of her unborn daughter, emphasizing her deep emotional connection to the moment. The artwork undoubtedly symbolizes the love surrounding their growing family.

Gypsy-Rose’s relationship with Ken Urker has its own complicated narrative. The couple rekindled their romance earlier this year after she filed for divorce from estranged husband Ryan Anderson in April. Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup The star previously confirmed that Ken is indeed the father, after a non-invasive prenatal paternity test returned a surprising result 99.9% chance of paternity.

She shared on her Instagram:

“Ken is going to be an incredible dad and we are so excited to welcome our little girl into the world.”

This confirmation of parenthood indicates the couple’s commitment to their family, especially as they navigate their rekindled relationship after a complicated past.

The dual narrative of Blanchard’s personal growth and return to love speaks to her resilience. After seven years in prison for her involvement in the tragic murder of her mother Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, Gypsy has embraced life outside of prison with new freedom and added responsibilities.

In a reflective moment talking about motherhood, Gypsy stated:

“Giving my daughter a happiness I never knew growing up is what I look forward to the most.”

This statement encapsulates her tenacity and determination to provide a supportive and loving environment for her next generation.

As her life unfolds, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard’s story is worth watching. His upcoming season Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup promises to showcase the joys and challenges she will face as a new mother trying to nurture a nursing home for Aurora.

Fans of Gypsy and those interested in her story will no doubt follow her journey as she balances motherhood with her career, proving that transformation and happiness can come from even the most difficult of circumstances. Welcome to the world, Aurora Raina Urker – may your life be filled with joy and love, just like your mama hopes you will be.
