If exercising with your partner sounds like a sweaty disaster or a battle waiting to happen (perhaps need tell you your squat form was off?), maybe these celebrity couples who work out together can change your mind. There are tons of perks (we swear). It’s a great way to spend time with your partner in a different environment – one that gives you a playfully competitive outlet and a chance to encourage each other. And nothing brings you together like pushing each other through those last few reps (and apologizing afterward, of course).

We’re not saying that every couple who sweats together stays together (looking at you, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez), but it seems to work for some. “It’s our private time before the house wakes up to love each other and love ourselves,” Union wrote on Instagram of her workouts with Wade. “Intimacy can take many forms.” We second it – and we’d like to add, sweaty can be sexy too!
