6. Pac-Man Family Outfit

Another cute way to celebrate pregnancy and family during Halloween is with Pac-Man themed costumes. Mom takes center stage and dresses up the baby as the iconic Pac-Man, while the rest of the family become ghosts!

With just a few materials and a little creativity, here are the things you can do to make it:

For mom, wear a black shirt and pants to create a Pac-Man silhouette. Paint the Pac-Man face on your baby bump with yellow fabric paint and that’s it!

For dad and kids, wear white shirts and black pants to create the ghost silhouettes. For the ghost bodies, cut a colored, sheer fabric into ghost-like shapes. You can choose the ghost shape with a clear umbrella and a pointed bottom to make it easier. Make eyes by cutting a white fabric into ovals and a blue fabric into the pupils. Put it all together with two bobby pins, but I recommend using glue or tape for security and voila! There will definitely be a lot of Pac-Man style candy!

7. Baby or Toddler Snail Costume

For those with young children who are not expecting, here is a bonus. Consider making this DIY snail costume for your baby or toddler. It’s a creative, affordable, and totally adorable way to join in on the Halloween fun!

Step 1
Gather your materials.

Step 2
Cut 6 feet (1.8 meters) of kraft paper and crumple it up.

Step 3
Unwrinkle and roll the kraft paper lengthwise. Then twist it.

Step 4
Roll the twisted kraft paper tightly into a coil and use hot glue to secure the roll as you go. Hold the roller in place for a few minutes each time you add glue.

Step 5
Repeat steps 1-4 to make a second coil.

Step 6
Cut two 1 foot (30.5 cm) pieces of kraft paper. Then roll them up and twist them. These will be the tentacles for the snail’s eyes!

Step 7
Glue the pom poms to the top of the tentacles and add the turnip eyes if you have them. Then glue the tentacles to the headband. It works best if you wrap the ends around the bottom of the headband. Be sure to hold them in place to set the glue for several minutes!

Step 8
Cut a piece of cardboard so that the length is slightly longer than the spirals of kraft paper and the width is slightly smaller than your child’s back.

Step 9
Punch holes in the corners of the cardboard. Measure around your child’s arms (like fitting a backpack) and adjust the length of the rope or ribbon. Tie the rope or ribbon to the cardboard.

Step 10
Glue the kraft paper spirals together. Once the glue is dry, turn them on their side and glue the snail shell onto the cardboard. You will need a lot of glue to attach the shell, so make sure to hold it in place for several minutes!

Save this DIY Halloween costume for kids and toddlers!
Materials you will need:

  • kraft packing paper
  • Cardboard rectangle
  • rope or ribbon
  • headband
  • hot glue gun
  • big pom poms
  • googly eyes (optional) graphic cart-blue icon

As we celebrate Halloween, always remember that it’s not just about costumes! It is a time to create lasting memories, share laughter and embrace the joy of family. So may your Halloween be scary and your babies beam with the magic of the season. Happy Halloween! 🎃 👻
