Comment of the week

“The sign is 100% correct.
I am a doctor and can assure anyone who may be concerned:

Acquired diabetes (as opposed to being born with Type 1 diabetes), does NOT happen stealthily or suddenly like cancer can. (Cancer of the pancreas – the organ that produces insulin, can suddenly cause diabetes, but that is cancer).

Acquired type 2 diabetes is definitely something that one can look at day by day and know if they are heading towards it or away from it.
Weight loss, lower blood sugar levels, lower triglycerides, better exercise tolerance, and fitness are all easy, everyday signs that you are reducing your chances of diabetes, not increasing it.

A glucometer bought cheaply at a drugstore can give excellent daily data on our blood sugar response to food and meals if it’s really a concern. (Just be sure to read about normals and parameters so the results can be interpreted correctly).

If someone is headed for diabetes as evidenced by higher blood sugars, significant weight gain, higher triglycerides, etc. then cutting out red meat is NOT going to help that condition.
Increasing exercise, eliminating all sweeteners and simple carbohydrates, and reducing caloric intake WILL improve his condition and reverse the trend. It really is that simple for acquired type 2 diabetes.

It’s a travesty the way “research” studies are received and discussed as real, original, double-blind experiments with real measurements and data.

The problem is that the average person doesn’t know the difference and can’t really be expected to sit down and learn this while raising a family and working two jobs.

But I would expect more from journalists, because it is their job and responsibility to report accurately.
It is so irresponsible what they are doing here.

And I suspect that the vegan mega-industries know this and are taking full advantage of it. I wouldn’t put them past even paying reporters to report the way they do.
These companies are eager to eliminate real meat and take the markets and profits from substituting fake, industrialized, chemical-laden proteins.
Grrrrr :^{.”

– Nice message.
