Botox is definitely the most popular treatment we receive at our Philadelphia office, and it’s a brand that almost everyone has heard of. However, besides the “forehead”, do you know all the different places on the face, neck and body that can benefit from Botox?

Below are the Top 10 most popular Botox injection sites. (How many of these have you tried?)

One caveat: As with any aesthetic treatment, the results are only as good as your hands and brain injecting. Make sure you only receive treatment from experienced and well-trained providers. On average, Botox treatments last around 3 months, however this varies between individuals and some may experience longer or shorter results.

1. Around the eyes

(This area is often referred to as “Crow’s Feet”.)

Crow’s feet can be one of the first signs of aging and this area is usually one of the first areas clients want to treat. These dynamic wrinkles are formed by repeated movements. such as squinting and smiling. Lines and wrinkles around the eyes usually start to appear in your 20s because the skin around the eyes is so thin and delicate.

For the Botox treatment of crow’s feet in Philadelphia, you may need 5 to 15 units of Botox per side. On average, results should last between three and four months.

2. Front

When the average person thinks of Botox, they most often associate it with the forehead. Horizontal lines on your forehead come from smiling, frowning and many other expressions, but Botox injections can significantly erase these lines.

In this area, most people need 10 to 30 units of Botox, and results usually last about three months.

3. Between the Eyebrows

The area between the eyebrows is called the glabella and the lines formed here are known as glabellar lines or 11 (because they can look like the number). These lines can make you look tired or angry, making it extremely popular Botox treatment area.

You will need 10 to 25 units for glabellar lines, with results usually lasting three months.

4. Upper eyebrow

Another of the most common places to get Botox on facial wrinkles is the upper eyebrow. When you get Botox injections there, the results can mimic those of a mini brow lift because it can neutralize the muscles that cause your upper eyelids to droop.

You may need two to five units on each side of the upper eyebrow, and on average the results last about three months.

5. “Bunny Lines”

Another hot wrinkle area we commonly deal with are the lines on either side of your nose that appear when you rub your face, commonly referred to as “bunny lines” and technically known as nose lines. (In some cases, these lines may extend to the lower eyelid.)

Most people need 5 to 10 units per side to treat bunny lines, and results often last about three months.

6. Dimpled chin

If you have a dimple on the chin, these marks may worsen as you get older because the muscles in the area may become more active. Fortunately, Botox can smooth out the area.

You may need anywhere from 2 to 6 units of Botox for a chin dimple. Injections for this spot are one of the longest-lasting options, with many people enjoying results for up to five months.

7. Smile lines

Botox injections can also help with smile lines that form around your mouth. These lines can extend down towards the jaw, giving you a droopy look and even making you look sad or angry when you are resting. Spot injections can help lift the corners of your mouth and help you look refreshed and happier.

Most people need between 3 and 6 units on each side for smile lines, and you can smile for these results for about 3 months.

8. Neck

If you have abysmal platysma bands protruding from your neck, Botox injections can be of great help. (To check yourself for this, look in the mirror and clench your jaw. You might be surprised at what you see coming out.) For necklines, each “zone” may require 10 units to settle. Results usually last about 3 months.

9. Gummy Smile

If you show a lot of your gums when you smile, carefully placed Botox treatments can prevent your upper lip from lifting past your teeth.

To resolve this issue, you may need two to four units and the results may be around three months.

10. Lip Flip

A Botox lip lift can be done alone or with fillers. It allows you to get the look of a fuller upper lip by rolling the pink part of your lip outward. (This can also help fade fine lines above your lips.)

You may need about 4 units for a Botox lip lift, depending on whether you also use fillers or just Botox, the results can last anywhere from two to five months.
