If you just pierced or think about piercing yourself, keeping your new piercing clean and happy is a necessity. Since I just got 2 piercings in my ear and I’m in the treatment process today, I thought I would share how to make a saline for piercings you can do in seconds. Not only is it natural, it is unreasonable and the best part, it is effective.

I just got 2 new ear piercings on my 47th bday. You could say that I could be in some identity crisis, but I honestly have always loved the appearance of super tiny, thin earrings all over the ear. Don’t think I didn’t buy them Amazon firearms To do it myself. After 2 errors I decided to leave the piercing to the professionals. In the process of taking these holes, Trypiti strongly encouraged me to buy the Piercing Ear $ 20 dissolution. I quickly refused, smiled her disapproval and went on my way. As my inner voice said many times, “There is a DIY for it!” It proves that the best you can do for a new perforation is a spray saline solution. I am so happy that I didn’t buy it because this DIY requires 2 ingredients, one to be water. I did it in less than a minute and even added a few drops of tea to keep the vagina infection. Super Easy and not $ 20.

You may ask, what do you know about body perforation? Absolutely nothing. I have pierced my 3X belly button in high school and I am fully committed to adding to my new Ear party, but besides that I do exactly what I do that is research and then I do it myself. I consulted many different web sites and learned a lot. While I can’t speak personally in eyebrows, nose or tongue piercings that make a saline is a fairly simple and a complete proof of DIY. From my research I do not believe that there is any punching position that will not benefit from a salt solution.

Because I like a seafood spray for puncture is because you don’t need to use your hands and you run the risk of carrying the bacteria to the new perforation. I also like it to be polite. An overly hard cleaning solution can cause more damage than good. I have also used an ear lamp to rinse my ear over the sink. Rinsing the saline perforation at the end of the day is a good idea. You could even use a Neti saucepan to pour water over the perforation.

In this post I will show you how to get the water concentration in the salt right so as not to irritate your perforation. Using this super simple DIY, you will be on your way for well-therapy piercings.

Why the saline solution for piercings?

There are many different types of cleaning solutions for piercings, but sterile saline sprays are the most effective way to heal from a perforation. A saline solution is a mild cleansing factor that gently removes dirt, bacteria and debris from facial and body piercings. The salt solution can gently cleanse the wounds when removing impurities and in the creation of an environment where the bacteria cannot survive.

A simple blend of sea salt and hot water can go a long way when it comes to care for a new perforation.

Creating your own sea salt solution is so fast, simple and affordable. In addition, there are no additives that may not be as natural as we would like to be in the store they bought. Another advantage to make your own saline spray is that you can easily make enough to enjoy saline or a daily rinse that can be very useful in wound care and treatment.

The key to making a safe homemade saline is the salt you use and is a ratio to the water. You absolutely I cannot Use tablet salt. Sea salt is essential.

To create a proper saline solution for new piercings, you should add 1 teaspoon of sea salt to 8 ounces of water. The salt ratio to water is extremely important. For a weaker solution you can reduce sea salt from 1 teaspoon. In 1/2 teaspoon.

Tea oil for piercings:

Tea essential oil is known for its antibacterial properties. It is a powerful anti -inflammatory and antimicrobial. It also has antiseptic properties making it ideal for hole treatment. Tea Tree is one of the mild essential oils, but because a perforation is such a vulnerable wound, I recommend diluting it before applying it to your perforation.

Tea oil It can help reduce redness and swelling. Can even reduce pain. The tea tree will help keep the bacteria away from your punching.

According to HealthlineThe tea tree is a suitable treatment for piercings.

Can you use saline for contact lenses?:

No. Most saline solutions contain additional ingredients that can irritate a perforation.

How to make a saline for piercings:

  1. Boil water on the stove or on a tea kettle.
  2. With a small funnel, add 1/4 tablespoons. sea salt in a 2 -ounce glass. bottle.
  3. Allow boiling water to cool and then pour in a bottle.
  4. Add 5 drops Tea tree essential oil. This is optional.
  5. Replace the lid and shake.

I would not recommend the use of tap water. Bottled water, distilled water or filtered water is better. I still advise water to make sure there are no bacteria. In addition, hot water will help the salt to dissolve more carefully.

The appropriate tips for perforation after care:

  • Do not use hydrogen peroxide or alcohol.
  • Avoid hot water.
  • Do not rub or rub your perforation. This could cause germs resulting in longer treatment time.
  • Always clean your hands before touching your puncture.
  • Avoid water bodies such as hydromassage, oceans, lakes and pools during the entire treatment season.
  • Never change the perforation until the healing process is complete. This is usually 21 days up to 6 months depending on the perforation.
  • Do not rotate the perforation. This could cause extra damage and scars.
  • Be very careful not to hit the clothes on it.
  • Cleaning can irritate and cause slow healing.

How to make a sea salt absorbs:

Hot sea salt can be very beneficial when it comes to new piercings. Like DIY Piercing Spray, after water, the only ingredient you need is sea salt. You can make your own solution by sinking a warm compression and apply it throughout the area around piercing for 5 minutes. A normal salty water shape absorbs during the first month of treatment can accelerate treatment and maintain infection in the vagina.

Stick to 8 oz. of water in 1 teaspoon. sea salt. Use a napkin or pure gauze every time you make salt. Never reuse your gauze.

How long does a DIY salt spray last?

Due to the addition of salt and tea tree, this DIY salt spray will not be so prone to the development of bacteria, but the bacteria should be completely avoided so that they are safe, I will make a fresh spray of salty water weekly.

I recommend using a small glass spray bottle that is airtight and can be used quickly. It is a good idea to boil your glass bottle before using to ensure that there are no bacteria. I also suggest that you save your saline solution in the refrigerator. This will help extend the life span.

Since this DIY takes minutes to become and is extremely cost -effective, throw it after 1 week and make a new solution.

When can you stop using saline solution?:

  • When punching stops feeling painful or inflammation.
  • When there is no rejection derived from perforation.
  • When there is no redness or irritation.

Once the above happens, you can reduce the use of the saline. It is recommended that you do not stop using them all together for at least 1-2 months after punching. This can vary depending on the position of the punch. Some piercings take 6-12 months to completely heal.

If you prefer to skip this DIY the Association of Professional Piercers It is a sterile saline wound washing. Can be found HERE on Amazon.

In my opinion, making your own saline solution for piercings is the way to go. I was not ready to drop $ 20 more in a 3.4 -ounce bottle that was mainly water. Care for your puncture is quite vital, but the use of a commercial product does not need to be involved. Enjoy the new perforation and Happy Healing !!

xx, Jenny
