The cracked lips are so frustrating. Apply balm and apply balm, and yet, you have peeled, dryness and sometimes bleeding.

You try to conceal them, but applying lipsticks or lips over dry, cracked lips only makes them look worse!

Why is it so difficult to keep smoothly, hydrated lips? Is there any way to get rid of lips for lips?

Why can’t I get rid of my lips?

It is true – the skin on your lips is different from the skin to most of your rest of your body. The lips have no oil oil to keep them hydrated. (So they have no resources.) If they lose even a little humidity, they become dry and cracked. They also make them more vulnerable to environmental elements such as the sun, pollution and dry air.

Why do lips dry so fast:

  • Lack of oil glands: The lips cannot produce their own oils, so they are much more vulnerable to dryness.
  • Thin skin barrier: The skin on the lips is much thinner than the skin to the rest of the body. This means that the outer barrier is less damage resistant.
  • Continuous Report: Lips are rarely covered as a large part of the body’s skin. They are almost always exposed to wind, cold, sun and dry air.
  • Frequent movement: Speaking, eating, drinking and licking your lips all contributes to the loss of moisture.

The lips are more fragile than other areas, so they need extra protection to stay soft and healthy.

What makes lips lips worse?

In addition to the fact that the lips are naturally vulnerable to dryness, several other factors can make dryness worse.

  • Lick your lips: As mentioned above, licking your lips contributes to dryness. The saliva evaporates quickly, taking whatever moisture has the lips with it. So, every time you lick your lips, leave them drier than before.
  • Breathing in your mouth: This air that comes in and out of your mouth dries your lips every time it passes.
  • You don’t drink enough water: Dehydration affects the whole body, including lips. Without enough water in, the lips cannot remain liquid on the outside.
  • Eating spicy or salty foods: Ingredients in these foods can irritate already cracked lips and lead to further inflammation.

These are all the things we do that can rob the lips of our moisture. But it’s not just our actions that can make things worse – the products we use to fix them can also!

Products that make lips worse

Unfortunately, some lipstick base and moisturizing products contain ingredients that are not good for the lips. Some will not help the lips get better, while others may even aggravate dryness and inflammation.

Perfumes and flavors: This Berry lip balm may taste good, but the flavors consist of chemicals that could dry your lips. Fragrances may also consist of chemicals that irritate the skin.

Mentol and camphor: These ingredients create a cooling sense when applied, but they can also dry your lips further.

Salicylic acid: Some lips for the lips contain this acid – candidate to help remove dead skin cells from the surface of the lips. But if you have sensitive skin or lips already hit, this ingredient can be very hard and could lead to more peeling.

Oil Jelly: It can lock moisture, but it does not moisturize, so if your lips are dry, there is no moisture to lock and will not help. Over time, based on this ingredient can lead to additional dryness as it creates a barrier without adding moisture, possibly preventing your lips from absorbing moisture from any other nutrients you can use.

To avoid these ingredients, always read the label on your product. Look for alternatives that do not include petrolatum or mineral oil, which may be harmful to the skin and body. Good choices include aloe, shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax, which all provide long -term humidity.

5 ways to get rid of the cracked lips

You know what to avoid. But what works? We have some tips for you below.

1. Use the correct healing balm (try our resume skinlabs restoration of the Balm skin)

The balm you choose makes a big difference to how healthy and smooth out your lips. We recommend our hypoallergenic CV skinlabs restoration of the skin because it is full of ingredients that treat the skin such as chamomile, calendula, beeswax and discharge, which help in soothing inflammation while being deeply moisturizing dry lips.

Ingredients such as seed oil and marine buckthorn provide antioxidant properties and can help restore damaged skin and even any discoloration on the lips. In addition, unlike traditional balm that simply covers your lips, this formula helps to restore their natural barrier, so humidity remains locked in a longer period.

Bonus: It’s PetroLatum and Mineralil F Free!

2. Enjoy gently (but not very often)

Like the rest of your skin, your lips need exfoliation to remove dead, skin flakes. But because of their tenderness, they require a milder touch. Excessive exploitation can do more harm than good. The key is to use a mild product 1-3 times a week, depending on how your lips respond.

Some effective options include:

  • A homemade sugar and honey (Mix a teaspoon of sugar with a few drops of honey and gently massage on the lips).
  • A soft toothbrush (Light lips in circular motions to remove dead skin).
  • Lips scrub and nutritious oils (Avoid those with alcohol or artificial aromas, as they may be annoying).

Always apply the balm repair immediately after exfoliation to help treat cracked and irritated skin, relax the outer barrier and lock moisture.

3. Try a lip mask one night

If your lips are struggling, try a mask of lips. These sit on your lips all night and can help you encourage treatment.

  • A mixture of coconut and honey oil for deep hydration.
  • The restorative balm of the skin Highly applied to seal moisture during the night.
  • A ready to use a sleeping mask With natural and safe ingredients they can fill and restore lips while sleeping.

4. Protect your lips from damage to the sun

We do not often think about our lips when it comes to damage to the sun, but they should, as they are exposed to the sun perhaps more than any other area of the skin. A lip balm with SPF 30 or higher is a good idea. Look for those who use zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, as they provide better sun protection without sensitive skin irritation. Watch with the restorative skin balm, as the sunscreen may not contain the humidity you need.

5. Strengthen moisturizing from the inside out

External treatments are necessary if you want your lips to look better. But you also very much moisturize. Drink more water (target at least eight glasses a day), eat moisturizing foods (such as melons, cucumbers, citrus fruits and leafy greens), use a humidifier in your bedroom one night and consider taking omega-3 supplements. (Always check with your doctor first.) Healthy fats help improve skin humidity levels.

Apply the Daily TLC to avoid cracked lips!

We know that if you miss even a day of care for your lips, they can be rebelled by drying! The best way to keep them happy is to take care of them every day, just like you are the rest of your face. Integrate your exfoliation and moisturizing activities into the normal skin care routine for the best results.
