I am sharing my experience so far using it EquiLife CBO Protocol as part of my gut healing process. You can read more about my trip here.

Hello friends! I hope you have a great week! We’re in California celebrating spring break with the crew. I will share some adventures IG stories and some photos on Friday Faves.

For today’s post, I wanted to talk a little about mine CBO protocol trip now that I’m five weeks into the process. (I can’t believe it’s been so long!!) It was a huge step in my healing journey from eye problems and autoimmune symptoms after I did some testing and found high levels of bacteria, yeast and Candida in my gut. You can see more about my experience here.

CBO it’s a 12-week protocol, and while it’s not for the faint of heart, I’ve already noticed incredible improvements.

Cbo Protocol Overview 1.

EquiLife CBO Protocol Review

What is the EquiLife CBO Protocol?

The Equilife Candida Protocol, Bacteria Optimizer is carefully formulated and formulated to address imbalances in the gut microflora, specifically targeting candida, fungal and yeast overgrowth and bacterial dysbiosis. Harnessing the power of natural ingredients known for their antifungal, antibacterial and healing properties, this protocol aims to restore harmony to the gut ecosystem. The goal of the CBO protocol is to clean out the *bad* bacteria in your gut, replenish the good bacteria, and heal and seal the gut lining.

Friendly reminder: I am not a doctor and this is not medical advice. Just sharing my experience with this protocol. As with any dietary or supplement regimen, it is important that individuals consult their primary care physician or a qualified health care provider before making any changes. This ensures compatibility with existing medical conditions, medications and individual health needs.

Cbo 2 protocol overview.Cbo 2 protocol overview.

Key components of the CBO protocol:

Saccharomyces Boulardii: A protective and powerful probiotic.

Berberine: Extracted from various plants such as goldenrod and barberry, berberine has broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties, effectively fighting bacterial overgrowth and restoring microbial balance.

Oil of oregano: Famous for its antimicrobial ability, oregano oil contains compounds such as carvacrol and thymol, which exhibit strong antifungal and antibacterial effects, helping to eradicate pathogenic organisms in the gut.

Enzymes and probiotics: This Equilife protocol also includes a blend of digestive enzymes and probiotics to support optimal digestion and gut flora balance. Enzymes facilitate the breakdown and absorption of nutrients, while probiotics replenish beneficial bacteria, promoting a prosperous intestinal environment.

How does it work:

The Equilife Candida Protocol, Bacteria Optimizer works in a multifaceted approach to address underlying gut imbalances. Herbs target pathogens, while enzymes and probiotics support digestive health and microbial diversity. This synergistic action helps alleviate symptoms associated with candida overgrowth and bacterial dysbiosis, promoting overall gut wellness.

Advantages:

Comprehensive protocol targeting candida overgrowth and bacterial dysbiosis

It uses natural ingredients with antifungal and antibacterial properties

Supports optimal digestion and gut health

It can relieve symptoms such as bloating, digestive discomfort, allergies, autoimmune symptoms such as joint pain, skin problems and fatigue

Developed by Dr. Stephen Cabral – he’s my mentor and I’m a huge fan of the products he creates and his messaging and branding

The children’s protocol can be used for children aged 3+

Disadvantages:

Individual responses may vary and results may take time to appear

It requires a commitment to dietary and lifestyle changes for optimal effectiveness

Not suitable for people with certain medical conditions or allergies

The importance of operational control:

Before you start the Equilife Candida, Bacteria Optimizer Protocol, it is important for individuals to undergo functional testing to determine the root cause of their bowel problems. Functional testing provides valuable information on gut health markers, guiding individualized treatment strategies for optimal outcomes. If you are interested in trial options please email me (gina@fitnessista.com)

I definitely wouldn’t do this protocol without trying it first as it is expensive and long (12 weeks)

Cbo 3 protocol overview.Cbo 3 protocol overview.

My personal experience:

The biggest thing that held me back from starting this protocol earlier was the suggested dietary guidelines.

For optimal effectiveness, you must follow the instructions and the most important for me was:

NO GARLIC OR ONIONS.

Aaaah?! I put garlic and onions in EVERYTHING. If a recipe calls for garlic, I double or triple the amount. Two cloves in one recipe? No. Surely they meant six.

That’s why I waited until after the holidays, Liv’s birthday trip, and some trips and events we had planned until I was ready to go. I wanted to be able to control as much as I could, so I waited until it made the most sense timing-wise. I started it the day after Valentine’s Day (when I ran into Fleming’s lol) and planned for my 21 days to be up until we went to Vegas so I could have a cocktail party and a fancy dinner.

If you’re wondering why they don’t recommend garlic or onions, it’s because they are powerful prebiotics and can feed ALL the bacteria in your gut: the good and the bad. You don’t want to re-inhabit the same area, so vinegars and fermented foods, as well as certain fruits, are not recommended.

I can’t post the full meal guidelines here on the blog, but the first 21 days are basically meats, beans, some fruit, lots of veggies, and a handful of fats (mostly olive oil, coconut oil, and avocado). After the first 21 days, you can start implementing a weekly “flex” meal to give yourself some nutritional relief and also start reintroducing other foods (like eggs, nuts, some spices, gluten-free grains) while check for reactions. the way.

The first 21 days were challenging, but not unbearable. I realized how much I craved sugar and how likely it was keeping me in the state I was in. After the first 21 days, things get SO much easier. I can have gluten free oats, rice, needs/seeds/chia and have no reactions after adding new foods.

Here’s the biggest kicker:

Eggs are my favorite food and I haven’t had them regularly for almost 6 months. Egg whites still blew my food sensitivity test and gave me breakouts on my cheeks and chin, so I avoided them.

Since healing my gut, I have been able to add them back into my life without breakouts or reactions. When we were in Vegas, I had a huge plate of scrambled eggs (it was SO buttery and good!) and nothing happened. Was amazing.

The biggest benefit I have noticed is a boost in energy and not another brain fog. I was feeling so distracted and foggy, and this protocol gave me a huge boost in focus, energy, and productivity. The inflammation on my face is completely gone – even when I took the photos for this post a few months ago, my cheeks looked puffy! – and I don’t feel puffy or puffy.

I’ve counted the weekly flex meals and enjoyed some amazing sweet treats, some cocktails and more indulgent meals.

If I feel this good almost halfway through, I’m really excited to see my progress as I finish. If you have any questions or are curious about doing some functional testing, let me know – I’d love to help!

EquiLife discount code

EquiLife is running their Founder’s Sale right now and you can stack my code FITNESSISTA10 on current deals (product only, doesn’t work on labs as they are heavily discounted during the sale)

Here are some of the things I would recommend:

– The 7 day detox. It’s perfect for a little “spring cleaning” and a great way to help flush out toxins and repair deficiencies while giving your liver some extra love. That was my introduction to EquiLife (along with my IHP certifications) and I’ve been a fan ever since. My clients have also had incredible success this detox!

– Universal Binder! I like this before sauna sessions, hot yoga, or when I’m about to eat something I don’t normally consume (like alcohol or fried food).

– Full Spectrum Magnesium. I take this every night and sleep like a baby 🙂 It is important to use a balanced magnesium that includes different forms. Everyone has a different purpose and they work together.

– Daily Nutritional Support. I have it every day, as a protein pudding (mixed with Truvani or NOW Foods protein), in oatmeal, or in a smoothie. It is packed with vitamins and nutrients and makes a great daily multivitamin.

– The best weighted blanket. I’m writing this post in advance and crossing my fingers it’s part of the sale!

– 5 large laboratories and Starter Kit discount. This is one of the only times the big five labs have a sale together. You can purchase the labs with these links, and if you would like me to review them with you, please email me before ordering (gina@fitnessista.com subject LABS). I can include the Vitality platform for you, a coaching call and I can make sure your results are tracked to me.

Have a great day and see you soon!
