Casey Ridealgh understands firsthand how frightening pregnancy and birth. Having discovered hypoglycaemia while pregnant with her daughter, she triggered a passion for birth and work. With a subsequent diagnosis of health that demanded her to take time from teaching career, her priorities shifted and began to strengthen women to embrace their tranquility and birth with confidence and passion as she had. After completing Hypnobirthering training, started Breathing and Birth with CaseyWhere it helps moms reduce stress, allow their body and mind to enjoy pregnancy and give birth with absolute power and trust. Here she talks to Natural Parent magazine about what inspires her to do what she does, how she balances her work and family, the challenges she has overcome, and her hopes and dreams for the future.

Passion: What inspired you to adjust your business?

I entered the world of hypnobirtthing when I was pregnant with my daughter in 2021 and was one of the most experiences that the eyes opened for me and my husband. He took us back to our ancestral roots and I knew how much power is already within us as women and mothers of birth. I was born like a primary goddess and I liked it. I was then Go-To Gal Pal in my friendship and family circles for the one who could pass along the juicy information to help others have positive and proud births. This felt good.

When I came back to work as a secondary English teacher 8 months after the Violet generator, it wasn’t exactly the same. The job was the best of me and my family got the rest. I felt the overwhelming teaching, the many challenges in the system, the super early days and the late night to say the least and to stay in my cup for my personal connections. I immediately knew that something had to change, but he didn’t know enough. Later I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and changed the game entirely for me. My priorities were completely shifted and I knew what I had to do, for the sake of my health and my future. After taking many months sick from work, I knew that I could not go back to this particular teaching role when and if I started to feel “better”. Shortly after this decision, I began to take health support for my MS and began to see my future more like a sunshine than a storm. This in turn opened my heart and mind for something new. Hypnobirtping ads have appeared everywhere and as soon as I paid him some time and attention, my heart has hit a part of the birth world to a large extent. To strengthen other women and moms at birth with confidence and passion, like me, to help the births embrace their tranquility for pregnancy, birth beyond and deal with families in one of the most intimate and emotional events in their lives were something I knew was a call for me. Nothing could hold me back and I began to train as soon as possible with Abby Watson in Love your birth training And it was the best decision I ever made.

The launch: How did you start at first?

The beginning is a slow process, but I am always focused on being visible. I watch a lot of networking events and interacts with others in the field proves to be the best way to get out there. I liked to create a website and social media pages during the first two months, while preparing myself with content and equipment, visiting places to see who was more with me, chatting with pregnant families and discovered what they needed from prenatal, prenatal, the sleeping and relaxation lessons. I also spent this time by simply evaluating what I wanted to offer to my customers and what could distinguish me from other prenatal providers. I got my first customers in the first 3 months, which so confirmed, empowers and rewards, especially when their babies began to fill and their stories were so beautiful, positive and therapeutic.

Innovation: What was the biggest discovery for you with your business?

The biggest discovery for me was by far my first client! Her story before hypnobirthering and preparation with her first pregnancy was very traumatic and upset about her. So when she arrived at me and we discussed how I could support her and her family through their second pregnancy, she immediately knew the right decision about them. She said in her own words that my course “transformed her whole birth”. Her preparation and trust was not at all and the history of birth was an absolute joy! Both herself and her husband really believe that their “best birth experience” is all under hypnobirtthing and prenatal classes and allowing both to understand what to fully expect, how to support themselves in their birth hall and How to navigate the maternity system for themselves. The amount of pride I had for both my clients and myself only from this story was enough to push me to continue my work in this area, as I saw firsthand exactly what a positive mindset can do and A tool of the necessary!

Yin and Yang: How do you balance work and family?

My work/life balance is much better now that I can decide my working hours. I have an office at home and so I can go through when I need it and I can work at my own pace, especially examining my health conditions. I take my mother, wife and friend I can be, with a cup so full that I “serve from the saucer” – an excerpt I once heard and I love it! The only harsh truth I have realized is that self -employment can be very isolated at times and I really get my energy from others! Therefore, I also choose to work part -time as a high support assistant in a local elementary school and I like to strengthen my life in many other ways.
