Losing a wife or life partner is one of the most painful, deep loss of life. Trying to navigate a new world without your partner let you feel crushed. Sadness is a personal, complex journey and there is no way or right way to handle it. Research shows that the first year after becoming a widow or widow is the most harmful to mental health. Honor the memory of your loved one

Celebrating your husband’s life can be comforting and make sense to your sadness. You may take into account:

  • Creating a memory frame with favorite letters, photos or souvenirs
  • Planting a tree or garden in their honor
  • Writing your best memories, stories and plans to keep their inheritance alive

You can also find small ways to remember them in everyday life. Listen to their favorite song, cook their favorite meal or keep making a tradition both of your loved ones. The price of your favorite in deliberate ways can bring you a sense of peace.

Take small steps to build a new life

It may seem impossible today, but you will finally move on. This does not mean that you forget your husband – it just means that you find ways to carry their memory while starting a new chapter for yourself. You can do this slowly – even small steps are worth the effort. With each one you get, the widow’s sadness will retreat, and eventually, you will discover the joy again.
