Do Breast Lift Creams Work? Here Is The Truth You

Well-toned breasts, attractive chest line and perfect cleavage – these are the dreams of every woman. However, most of us are not blessed with naturally round, firm and perky breasts. There are many women whose breasts are not only poorly proportioned but also quite loose and saggy. Needless to say, this is both unattractive and frustrating. Hence, a large number of women opt for commercially available breast firming or firming creams.

Although cosmetic procedures, (breast lift, breast augmentation, etc.) exist to firm the breasts and improve their aesthetic appearance, women find creams easier and more convenient. However, it is recommended that you make a well-informed decision before purchasing any of them. So, do breast firming creams actually work? In this article, we have unleashed the truth and everything else you need to know about them. Check it out.

Why do breasts lose their firmness?

Saggy, loose breasts are medically termed as “breast droop”. Although this change in the appearance of the breast is completely natural that most women experience, it destroys the aesthetic beauty of the organ. Therefore, they are trying to improve the stability of their assets and prevent further relaxation. But what causes breasts to lose their firmness?

Let’s start by uncovering the root cause of the problem. Our breasts are made up of a lot of fatty tissue and supporting ligaments called “Cooper’s Ligaments”. As we age, the skin covering these elements loses its elasticity and the ligaments stretch. These adversely affect the breast tissue, which ultimately leads to a pair of saggy and saggy breasts. While aging affects the appearance of our breasts naturally, the process is further accelerated by the following factors

  • The gravitational force of the earth
  • Genetics
  • High body mass index
  • Collagen deficiency
  • Lack of estrogen hormone
  • The habit of smoking
  • Multiple pregnancies
  • Large breast size
  • Menopause
  • Rapid weight loss followed by weight gain (or vice versa)
  • Wearing an ill-fitting bra
  • She’s not wearing a bra at all

What are breast firming creams?

Breast firming creams are specially formulated cream or gel based products that aim to firm, firm and lift loose and saggy breasts. This helps restore the youthful appearance of the breast without any discomfort. They can be applied locally, which makes them an easier alternative to painful surgery.

From herbal to chemical, the formulations of such creams can vary widely and are available from various brands. Breast firming creams are mainly indicated for breasts with cup sizes ONE and si.

Topical products such as breast firming creams can improve the elasticity and appearance of the skin covering the breasts. However, they cannot change the state of their internal tissue.

What do breast firming creams claim?

As mentioned earlier, there are a number of breast firming formulas (creams, lotions and filters) available in the market and each of them comes with its own promises. But the common promise that almost all of them make is to give firm, toned and fuller breasts like they were in your teenage years.

It usually refers to a “natural breast lift” as well as “improved tone and texture” of the breast skin by making the tissue firmer. Some of them even promise to boost the metabolism, thus preventing sagging. Many new advanced formulas are also released to care for the delicate skin surrounding the breasts while making them firmer and firmer.

What do breast firming creams do?

Whatever may be the claims of breast firming creams, the actual scenario is quite different from this. Not only do they look too good to be true, but they also have no significant effect on our breast tissue in reality. They also lack the ability to prevent sagging and make the breast permanently firm.

What they do is tighten and contract the skin, which gives us the illusion of firmer and more perky breasts for a short period of time. Whether it is the elasticity of our skin or the restoration of damaged breast tissue, no product can solve these problems topically. Only surgical procedures can permanently reverse these conditions. So as local breast tightening creams, they cannot give us significant results for the rest of life.

Active Ingredients of Breast Firming Creams

Now, let’s take a look at the active ingredients present in these readily available breast firming creams. Generally, they contain collagen-producing ingredients or intense moisturizing ingredients to serve the purpose. Here is a short one:

  1. Phytoestrogen is a plant-based (synthetic) estrogen known to make breasts larger and firmer during pregnancy.
  2. Retin-A increases collagen production in our skin and rebuilds skin cells, thereby reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of aging.
  3. Both hyaluronic acid and vitamin E are considered antioxidants, which boost our skin and make it look healthy.
  4. Being excellent natural moisturizing agents, shea butter and cocoa butter induce enough moisture in our cells and plump the skin as a whole.

So you can see that the ingredients of popular breast firming creams can work externally on our skin, thus significantly improving its tone and texture. However, they are not able to prevent breast sagging by healing the damaged inner tissue.

Should You Use Breast Firming Creams?

Breast firming creams may promise to tighten our saggy saggy organs by improving skin quality, but none of them have scientific data to back up the claims. Exactly, the effectiveness of such products is entirely relative.

Since most of us don’t consider going under the knife as an option, such firming or firming creams seem to be the best option for us. It is a painless, scarless, risk-free and relatively safer option that doesn’t burn holes in your pocket. But if you are looking for a reliable solution to get rid of your damaged breast permanently, go for other common procedures like surgery, implant, etc.

Choosing the right breast firming cream

If you are still hesitant to undergo cosmetic procedures to make your breasts firmer and toned, just be careful in choosing your breast firming cream. Before you take any self-proclaimed “best” product to your chest, take your time and do some thorough research.

The market is flooded with tons of cheap quality products that are completely dangerous to our health. Not all breast firming creams are safe. It is vital to read the ingredient list before purchasing to ensure a safe application. Try to invest in a good quality cream from a reputable brand. Also, it is good to choose herbal products only to avoid any kind of chemical reactions.

Just because a product is FDA approved doesn’t guarantee it will work for you. Results may vary from person to person.

How long does it take for results to appear?

No breast firming cream can give you amazing results overnight. They are not miracle products. Therefore, it is necessary to deal with the roots of your problem and consider the cream as an additive to combat it. Make sure you follow a well-balanced diet and a strong workout routine to keep your breasts in good shape and size. Also, don’t forget to wear a supportive bra that can help keep your breasts firm on the outside.

Side Effects of Breast Firming Creams

It is always good to stay away from commercial breast firming creams if you are pregnant or nursing your newborn. This ensures that the ingredients of the product do not enter the breast milk. In fact, if you suffer from any medical condition that has an impact on your breasts, you should avoid such commercial creams.

Summary

Saggy breasts can look unattractive and lower one’s self-confidence. While the market is flooded with OTC breast firming creams, it is important to understand how it works, it’s side effects and the truth behind it before you start using it. Breast sagging is due to many reasons such as pregnancy, genetics, lack of collagen, etc.

Breast firming creams tighten and contract the skin to an extent thus giving the illusion of firmer breasts. Unfortunately, the results may only last for a short time and come with side effects.
