Baby Is Still Not The Head Down? Here Because It's

If I had a penny for every time a pregnant panic with mom sent me messages about the baby on their belly that was not the head down, well, I would sit in a gold mine now.

But with all honesty, it must be one of the top 5 issues I have asked as a nurse and tradition nurse to mom’s nurse. And I understand it. I really do it. The baby’s position in your belly can completely affect the delivery experience.

But today, I want to put some of the misunderstandings around the baby’s position to rest and eliminate much of the unnecessary stress for you.

So bend the buttercup, because we are ready to dive deep into the nitty-gritty of this set "go down" obsession.

What is the big deal to be the head down anyway?

I called it obsession and to be honest, that’s not too far away. So why is the so -called “obsession” with the baby being the head down anyway?

The reason everyone gets their organic cotton underwear in a boring for a presentation (This is the fancy medical debate on the head down) is because it is generally necessary to attempt a vaginal birth.

This adorable little noggin is basically its own perfectly launched body launch alert, ideally designed for kindly (or not so politely) nudge its way through the exit (your vagina). Anything other than a noggin?

Well, let’s say he can do things … complicated.

But you hold these horses, we are not yet in the doom-and-gloom-in ‘.

What happens when the baby decides that their head is not the “most modern” outlet?

Now that we have established the leading role of the leader in this uterine drama, let’s turn the other ways in which your baby can be in your belly …

Because your little love can decide that a first, leg-legs, or even a side entrance is the way to go. And while I admire their individuality, let’s just say that the medical community generally looked at these presentations.

Why do you ask?

Well, the image trying to push a clumsy watermelon shape through a keyhole (OW !!). The box to happen but is usually more messier, more dangerous, and requires much more ummm, dexterity (and often one side of surgery).

The great position discussion: When to really worry about

Ah, the question of millions of dollars that keep their pregnant women at night, immediately after "Did my water break;" and "Are these Braxton Hicks or the real deal?".

The short answer, try not to lose sleep very Early in your pregnancy.

Most providers are not going to start taking their wings to be overwhelmed by a keychain baby by the end of the third trimester, About 36 weeks or so. Well, let’s be honest, we hope that they never get their wings upset by a baby keychain … I mean, it’s their job to finally remain compositions.

Early, your baby is basically a itty bitty, free floating jumping bean in your womb with plenty of, And I mean abundantlyof time and space to change your mind (and position) many times … and better believe that your bottom (punk is intended) will do it.

Time to cooperate, baby: How to encourage a position on the head-down

So what can happen if your precious little gym does not want to work together? Before putting a surgical delivery on the table, there are some tricks that can help. Notice that I said power.

Babies are renowned stubborn and have their own mind. There is a zero guarantee that these things will work, but you don’t know if you’re not trying, ammirite?!

So, if you are 32 weeks long or older, you have a keychain or transverse baby, and you have the blessing of your provider, give some or all of them a swirl.

🟢 Reversal forward:

The yoga -like position where you lift your hips over your head, keeping your hands and knees on the ground (if you are not Simone Biles, you may need some help).

🟢 Webster Technique:

Performed by a chiropractor To make more space in the basin and give the baby the best chance of turning around.

🟢 Curb Walking:

Walking with one foot on the kiosk and the other foot on the road. This uneven slope in your pelvis can encourage the baby to shift and hope to move to a head position.

🟢 External Cephalic Version (ECV):

A process where a trained health care provider manually tries to turn a baby from abroad (really Do not do this without talking to your provider).

A (not so) gentle reminder for those of you who are less than 32 weeks …Stop stress!

Easier for me to say, I know, but an impressive 97% of babies will be reduced by 36-37 weeks. And those who don’t? It will be okay. Will still be born in one way or another.

The bottom line? Trust your body, trust your team

Look, I understand it, it’s the pregnancy wildto say the least. It is basically 9 months full of unknown, unwanted tips and absolute discomfort.

When it comes to your baby’s position, try to remember that:

  • Your body is quite amazing
  • Your baby (usually) knows what they are doing
  • You are surrounded by a group of professionals who are experts to get babies out of the womb, one way or another.

Whether your baby arrives through Va-Jay-Jay after a book work or takes a more graphic path through the sunroof, the most important thing is that you both arrive safely on the other hand.

So take a deep breath, try to relax and focus on rough ride incredible trip You are. You will give birth to it !!
