If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and noticed the show or the heterogeneous texture on your thighs or buttocks, you are not alone. This is the most likely cellulite, a common, completely normal skin condition that affects more than 90% of women, regardless of weight or level of fitness.

While cellulite is harmless, many of us want to smooth these valley and feel more confident in our skin. There comes Avéli, a slightly invasive, office treatment developed in skin care doctors.

Before I sink into how Avéli works, what to expect and who is a good candidate, let’s review what causes cellulite.

What exactly is cellulite?

Cellulite is not only caused by fat. It is actually a structural issue under the surface of the skin. Underneath our skin, we have fibrous zones called Septa, which connect the skin to the deeper tissues below. In areas with cellulite, these diaphragms pull the skin down, while the environment of fat pushes it up, creating the engraved, uneven appearance you see on the surface.

Avéli does not treat the surface of the skin, but releases these diaphragms, correcting the underlying structure that causes abdominal formation.

How does Avéli work?

Avéli uses a targeted surgical technique, called a “hypoppical”, to release the tight zones under the skin. Our dermatologists are guided by real -time feedback from the manual device to ensure accurate, effective treatment of each person dimple.

What to expect during the Avéli process?

Avéli is a two -step process.

Step 1 – Evolution of the area

Before the treatment begins, we use anesthesia with places, a local solution that causes the tortory just below the skin to keep you comfortable throughout the process. There is no need for general anesthesia, and you will be awake and relaxed all the time.

Step 2 – Treatment of cellulite

Through some tiny skin shells, I insert the Avéli device just below the skin. The device allows me to identify and release any individual diaphragm that causes a dimple. It is an extremely accurate process and I can confirm in real time that the fibrous zone is completely released.

Because treatment is so targeted, we can ensure that only the diaphragms that cause trouble are addressed. This approach allows us to maintain the surrounding structures and minimize the wound to the area.

What to expect after Avéli for cellulite?

Immediately after Avéli treatment

You can wait for some bruises, swelling and tenderness in the areas that have been treated. This is completely normal and temporary. You will go home by wearing a compression garment to reduce swelling and support the treatment.

In the days that followed the treatment

Most people feel good enough to repeat light daily activities in a day or two. Taking this, I recommend that you avoid intense workouts or intense activity for about a week to give your body time to recover.
You may notice some mild sharpness or stability under the skin during the early phase of healing. This is gradually dissolved as the tissue regulates and swells.

Seeing the results

You will begin to see a visible improvement as swelling decreases, with full results developing in the coming weeks. Best of all, because Avéli faces the real cause of cellulite, the results are designed to be long -term with a single treatment.

Who is the best candidate for Avéli?

After helping many women with Avéli, we know that this process is ideal for patients who:

  • Are annoyed by true cavities in the thighs or buttocks
  • Are in their weight or close to their target
  • Have good quality and stability of the skin (not significant loose or loose skin)
  • You want a single, effective treatment with real, constant results

If you are not sure if what you see is cellulite or something (such as skin looseness or stretch marks), start with a consultation with a dermatologist certified by the boat that your skin can evaluate and confirm the presence of cellulite.

When you are ready to take the next step towards smoother skin and constant confidence, close a cosmetic consultation with me or one of my colleagues to see if Avéli is right for you. Together, we will discuss your goals and create a personalized cellulite treatment plan that works for your body and your lifestyle.
