The parental care of a child who may feel a bit like a adventure. . . no seat belt. One minute, your child is full of passion and happiness, the next one, melt in the middle of the goal. These extreme feelings let you wonder: Is it just a phase? Is it adhd? Are they emotionally? Or it’s just. . . means;

If you have ever wondered any of these questions, you are definitely not alone. In this episode of ChatI sat with parental care coach and positive discipline expert Danielle Bettmann to decompress what is really Going under these great behaviors. Danielle shares the shifts of the mentality and practical tools that help parents stop reacting and really starting to connect with their children, especially strong, deep feeling of children who are simply trying to see and understand.

Who is Danielle Bettmann?

Danielle Bettmann He is a coach of parental care of positive discipline, who helps parents really break the code of personality of their child. Against the backdrop as an early childhood teacher, a certified teacher and a home visitor, Danielle is now supporting families virtually from all over the country. Her approach? It is all to get to the root of behavior (satisfying the deepest needs of our children), so that we can stop playing “Whack-a-Mole” with explosions and instead create real connection and cooperation. She teaches parents how to be kind and stable at the same time and trust me. . . It’s a game-changer.

Danielle is also the host of popular podcast Failed maternitythat is such a strong resource for parents who feel overwhelmed or uncertain. It is on a mission to remove shame from parental care and remind us of everything we are the parents our children need.

What did we talk about

Strong or something more? Understanding your child under behavior - Podcast EP 186

This debate is full of strategies of wisdom and real life that speak at the heart of modern parental responsibility, especially if you navigate great emotions, frequent precipitation or children who do not respond well to traditional methods of discipline.

Here are some basic routes from our conversation:

1. What really does a “strong child” mean

Danielle helps parents recognize the characteristics of children with dynamics and understand why these children often collide with rigid rules, routines and power dynamics. It is not disobedience. are unfulfilled needs.

2. Is it adhd, big feelings, or is it just difficult?

So many parents try to understand their child’s behavior. Danielle explains how to look deeper and examine things such as sensory needs, regulation of the nervous system and emotional tension before jumping on labels.

3. Because behavior is communication

One of Danielle’s basic teachings is that behavior is not for those who are trying to be “bad”. It’s usually a message we need to hear more. When we learn to decode it, we can answer more connection, not just correction.

4. The trap of traditional discipline

Shouting, timetables, launches and threats. These can often be reversed, especially with children with strong children. Danielle collapses because these tools do not necessarily work for children injured by Stron and how they can lead to even greater resistance.

5. What seems to be kind and company at the same time

Danielle walks us through examples of real life on how to keep the boundaries without being harsh and how to show empathy without losing power. It’s all about connection and consistency. Her tips are gold!

6. To reach the root of behavior

Power struggles often disappear when a child feels really watching and heard. Danielle offers tools to help parents identify the underlying need behind the explosions and to satisfy it with intention.

7. A small mindset shift that helps today

Whether it is a pause before reacting or getting strange instead of angry, Danielle offers feasible strategies that every parent can immediately try to build trust and connection with their child.
