2024 has been everywhere for me and my team at our corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas, and it always makes me happy to share the highlights of the year we’ve accomplished to better serve you, our loyal friends and customers! Being able to share personal updates like these is one of my favorite parts of being a founder-led small business. So there you go. Some of the most remarkable things that happened to Renée Rouleau in 2024 and a sneak peak in 2025!

We introduced three new BODY care products (As seen in Today demonstration!)

I’ve gone a bit off the facial this year and wanted to offer some skin solutions to your body as well as a wellness product. These are so much fun and you have loved them!

  • Wake Me Up Shower Spray – This will completely improve your showering experience. The mist is on the walls of your shower and turn on the water and your entire shower is transformed into a eucalyptus wake. Seriously, it’s that good. And we’ve gotten so many comments from the men in your life that they love it too. (Code word for, stole mine!)
  • Bedside body balm – I wanted something to leave on my nightstand and spread on hands, cuticles, feet (with socks), so I created this yummy balm. It melts into the skin beautifully without leaving any greasiness. I know you will love it.
  • Back & body polishing towel – I’m totally obsessed with body scrubs for super smooth skin, traditional body scrubs that you have to scoop out of a jar aren’t always practical to use. Say hello to an easy way to remove dry skin cells all over your body, including hard-to-reach areas like your back. I use it twice a week and follow with a body oil and my skin feels absolutely incredible.

We have introduced a new eye cream (Hello to fresher-looking eyes!)

  • Hydrabounce Firming Eye Cream – I got a lot here with the four main things the skin around the eyes needs – peptides, moisturisers, antioxidants and repairing lipids. I get asked a lot “Renee, do eye creams really work?” Yes and here’s why.

If you’re in Austin, we’ve started too pick up from the store. When you check out online, you can now make this option and come say hello to our team!

We won two beauty awards!

Rest Day Masque won one Allure Best of Beauty “Best Overnight Mask” award. While there are many beauty awards out there, Allure is the OG and truly the equivalent of winning an Oscar! (Better than Balsam won last year!)

Our news Bedside body balm won a People beauty award, so that was very exciting too. It is a great pleasure to share with you my professional formulas. Each one is made with love and care, from my hands to your skin, for real results.

Our best selling products for 2024 were…

In that order.

  1. Anti-bump solution
  2. Vitamin C&E treatment
  3. Skin repair lotion
  4. Soothing Elderberry Toner
  5. AHA/BHA Spot Control Cleanser
  6. SPF 30 weightless protection
  7. Triple Berry Smoothing Peel
  8. Rapid Response Detox Mask
  9. Hydraboost Rescue Creme
  10. Moisture Injecting Toner

Our products have been shipped to 37 countries! And we’ve received over 300 5-star reviews, we love hearing your feedback that our products solve your skin concerns.

Creating skin care products is an intuitive art fueled by touching thousands of faces and listening to people’s skin concerns over the past 35 years. This is… The Renee way.

Our products are now available for purchase in Spas and Med Spas

Biggest news of the year…for the first time EVER, our products are now sold through estheticians and skin care professionals across the US! I understand that you, our loyal customers, want to experience our products in real life. Touching, smelling, trying something new and maybe getting a Renée Rouleau facial is what you’ve been asking for.

I have declined a lot opportunities to sell my line elsewhere. Big box retailers have been knocking on my door and I won’t even have a conversation with them. I’m just not interested in going down the path of so many brands where the focus then becomes sales and numbers. All for the sake of the almighty dollar. Founders lose their souls when they have investors breathing down their necks. I see it too often and this is not for me. (Fortunately I own 100% of my company and talk a lot about it the Glossy podcast.) But the thought of getting my products out into the real world (versus just online) is very exciting and I couldn’t have picked the right people to represent my line — aesthetic and trained skin care professionals. These are my people and I’m so excited!

We have 22 PRO partners so far and this list is growing all the time. It’s a new business area for us, so we’re taking it slow for now. See where to buy Renée Rouleau and thank you for supporting our partners!

New beauticians have joined our team

Speaking of estheticians, when I owned skin care spas in Dallas (and previously in Boston) I was always around estheticians. When we closed Dallas Spas five years ago, and I was now 100% a product company, I wasn’t around estheticians anymore and I missed it. I get a lot of new ideas from them, so in the spirit of going back to my roots, now we employ more beauticians to serve various roles such as new product development, customer service, social media and marketing and ultimately, to serve you better. We recently hired estheticians Amanda and Maddie who you will interact with when you are call or email us. We are always here to give that personal touch.

It just feels so good to lean towards the people who have always been a part of my success – the ones who touch faces and really understand skin on a deeper level. We speak the same language. If you are an esthetician and want to be notified when we are hiring, apply here.

We celebrated 28 years of Renée Rouleau skin care

It’s always a “pinch me” moment to get so involved. My goal has been to help others become more confident in their skin and I am truly grateful that your support continues to allow me to do this! I’ve been at it for 35 years now and could never think of doing anything else. Thank you, sincerely. Here it is a fun throwback video.

The tradition of the ‘FLO-vember’ challenge continues

As many of you know, my husband of 22 years Florian (and COO of our company) died six years ago after a short battle with cancer. Every year in November (his birthday month) when he was alive, we did “The FLO-vember Challenge” where we committed to a health goal and did it every day for the month. (We usually did burpees, ugh!) Me and the team have continued this tradition and it’s always a reminder of the importance of good health and keeps his spirit around. I know he’s proud.

United Aestheticians and Dermatologists

One of the things I love most about the beauty industry is the people I meet and learn from. This industry has some of the brightest, most innovative, creative people and I never tire of learning from them.

A big highlight in November was not only speaking for second year at Science of Skincare Summit but this year I played three roles: I was a speaker, co-chair of the aesthetics piece, and an exhibitor showcasing our line. What’s great about this summit is that it brings estheticians and dermatologists together. This is very rare. We all have the same goal, which is to help improve lives by improving skin, but our approaches can be different and we haven’t always played well together in the sandbox.

That is changing now and we have a new respect for each other in how we see and treat skin and this summit is an example of that. It was an honor to be on a panel with well-known dermatologists (like Dr. Pimple Popper!) representing my fellow estheticians.

I will be co-chairing again next year, so if you are a licensed skin care professional, please join me.

What can you expect in 2025…

At Renée Rouleau, we don’t talk about products. We are talking about touching people. And I hope, in some way, I touched your life. #TheReneeWay

You are in the best hands.

XO,

Renee
