Weight before: 84 kg

Weight now: 72kg

Height: 5’11 ”

Lost 12 pounds in 5 months

A former national hockey player, Prakhar Avasthi has always been a target oriented. When he realized how much weight he had won in three years-he went through a sedentary job, the Delhi-based computer professional knew that he had to make some drastic lifestyle changes.

“Until college, I was very active and enjoyed playing sports. As soon as I started working, I got busy and I could never find the time,” Prakhar says. Expenditure for many hours in his office, combined with bad food choices and irregular times, caused his weight to rise to 84 pounds. Soon, the family and friends began to express their concern about his weight gain. Prakhar himself could not shake his sense of gravity. “I was a lethargy all the time,” he recalls, and that was enough for an awakening call.

When searching the internet for a fitness plan, Prakhar reads about HealthFyme and downloaded the app in May 2016. On the day later he received a call from Healthyme Diet Sapna Sangtani coach. “Sapina asked me about my daily meal plan and asked me to make some small but very useful changes. For beginners, I asked me to drink about 3-5 liters of water a day, explained that most of us often confuse the thirst with hunger and end up eating recommend some exercises that could follow.

Within a week of monitoring their proposals, Prakhar felt that its energy levels increased. Excited by the possibilities, he was upgraded to transform, the premium plan of HealthFyme and was given a customized and detailed daily diet and exercise routine.

“I always thought it would be expensive to eat healthy, but I was wrong”

Sapna compiled a simple diet plan, focused on foods already cooked on the vegetarian home and the components of Prakhar that were easily available. “I always thought it would be expensive to eat healthy, especially when you read about how skim milk and avocado, etc. are beneficial to weight loss, but all that Sapna suggested was already in my kitchen, I just didn’t eat it,” he says.

Breaking from a heavy-dinner-kunch-dinner routine, Sapna introduced Prakhar to smaller protein meals and fiber-rich in two-hour intervals. To avoid monotonous, Sapna changed the design at regular intervals. While he has not stopped eating out-of-herself eating steady sections when he comes out-Prakhar has made a point of eating only homemade food in the last five months. “Participation in HealthFyme has not changed my food habits. People around me also eat healthier,” he says.

“Work every morning, I felt my stamina increases from the day”

Prakhar Avasthi after weight lossThe former athlete found returning to a more difficult gym plan, especially given his busy work program. This is the main reason she chose a home training routine. “Prakhar’s fitness levels were okay, so after starting stretching for a few weeks, I gave him a cardio, resistance and circuit plan,” Sreemanth says, explaining that a combination is important for increasing the mass of lean muscle mass and decreasing fat.

He asked Prakhar to invest in dumbbells, kettlebells (for resistance training) and a Swiss ball (also known as the exercise ball, for heart) for best results. “Kettlebell and Swiss Ball workouts are my personal favorites because you can use them to imitate a home gym routine,” says Sreemanth, who changed the training plan every 4-6 weeks to prevent Prakhar from hitting a weight loss plateau.

Employees along with the video demonstrations sent by Sreemanth, Prakhar began to feel his endurance in the day. “Earlier, I will wake up early and waste time on my phone. Now, from 5.30 to 7am, I go for a walk or do my exercises, depending on the plan, after exercise, I feel energetic all day,” he says.

“My trainers deserve the credit to be vigilant and to encourage me to stay on the right track”

Prakhar credits Sapna and Sreemanth trainers to be vigilant and keep him motivated. “Sapna regularly calls me to check out how my diet goes and if I’m too busy to get the call, a message falls on WhatsApp, asking me about my meals,” says Prakhar, adding that Sreemanth is planning the exercise routines around his busy program. The trainer places the credit back to his client’s corner. “Prakhar’s success is 100% result of his dedication. You don’t always find people who are as inspirational as he,” says Sreemanth.

At 72kg, three pounds below the weight of his 75kg target, Prakhar is now working to maintain his health. He is also willing to inspire others towards a healthier life. “When people see how much weight I have lost, they want to know that I do it, I am happy to share my experience because I want to motivate others to do the same, people need to know that it is not difficult to lose weight,” he says. “Gymnastics is not something to follow. It’s how to live your life.
